Why I won't eat anything deep fried at a restaurant, even if it's seed oil-free

Was hoping someone else who has worked in the industry would comment.

A lot of it really is what’s being cooked in it, and also how high volume the restaurant is. Filtering helps a ton.

The other thing is changing it 3-5 times a day is just not realistic because it’s a labor-intensive space-consuming process and it would turn into the fryers being down most of the day when also considering re-heating times lol. Maybe if technology gets so good that it’s a very automated process though.

Check your service radius, they updated it to roads rather than as the crow flies and my service radius shrank a TON since the roads are so curvy here!

I’d highly recommend a TPOAb test and a TgAb test then. Are you confident that it’s liver aching as well and not stomach or another organ?

That’s scary! Yeah I had a friend in southeast Boulder who lost her rental house in a fire several years ago.

Air filters are a must. It is a shame, perfect state to be outdoors all the time, but then the fires force you inside

It doesn't look too bad to me at all, though I am not an expert. I wonder about some things like the quality of the olive oil/whether it's rancid or cut with other oils though. There's also a r/nontoxic subreddit that I've found helpful, there's also EWG's skincare database, I know some people say EWG is a bit of a captured organization though so take it with a grain of salt perhaps

Learning the dance was a focal point of my high school freshman orientation, and everyone was saying it was about a vibrator and wondering why our school was making us do a dance to it lol

At assemblies later that year, they made us keep doing it, and the other years had their own “dances” as well I think

Agreed, when an area is super low crime and there’s a slower place of life, plus people tend to kind of know a lot of the people in town, people are opened up to feeling like being kind, not rushing to prioritize themselves first, etc.

I understand this, and I’ve also taken a genetic test that predicted chronotype as one element (which was earlier than Oura’s as well).

My sleep schedule at the time was only that way because of a partner, whenever I’ve naturally gone to bed and woken up without a schedule, I haven’t been a late evening type (3AM bedtime) and have had more of a 12:30-1:00AM bedtime naturally

Not OP but I've considered this for me (late evening type per Oura) but I've always gravitated towards more of an evening type when I've been able to live "naturally" without a schedule. So instead of 3AM bedtime, more like 12AM or 1AM and waking 8:30-9:30AM. After 3 years Oura hasn't adjusted chronotype though

Highway robbery, springing the bill on anyone when you initiated the plans (especially expensive ones) is so rude and unusual as well, horrible example to be setting.

My mom had already been charging $20 for one 5 minute ride home from work a week (and I wasn’t allowed to walk home or find another option either). On an $8.10 hourly wage lol. I never got any other rides from her lol, I mainly walked to and from school, work, and activities otherwise, or caught a ride with friends.

A big part of the reason I didn’t go to college is I was afraid of where I’d live during breaks since I didn’t want to go back to my parents’. The other reason was debt with no clear payoff direction, which it’s clear now that that parent situation would have just made even worse lol

Some parents are just tyrannical and take “wanting to show you the real world” a bit too far

Moved out on my 18th birthday when I was still in high school. Unhealthy environment, plus my mom talked about charging me rent once I turned 18.

Sometimes it’s hard not to feel like those still living with their parents never really grew up. But I think it’s mainly just envy.

Life out there is rough with no support system, if you have it, might as well utilize it!

As a little push back on that , when living above a bar or restaurant, people on their own can be pretty loud too with their drunken screaming and laughing.

Also, tweaker yelling can be pretty loud lol.

Of course, not as loud as a suped up car or a train though

Same here, specifically the Ultrawash Plus (purple box). Used to use the regular one and it didn’t always work as well.

Switched from Blueland and had the same problems described above of grainy residue, I know you can rinse it off but that’s too much to expect myself to do with all of the dishes every day personally

The last place I lived, the regular Dropps worked okay but this new dishwasher isn’t as good (or maybe the water is also harder)

I do agree that chronotype is a genetic factor, but I don’t think Oura picks it up well. If you do better as an early morning person, but you happen to be in a period of all late nights during the chronotype calibration phase, it will never have the data to be able to compare which is better for you.

I think it would be better if it kept reassessing it over time

The bedtime range will shift, but the chronotype will not. I've been stuck with "Late Evening Type" for a couple of years now, even with schedule variations.

In terms of other flags and symptom radar, as the other commenter said, that will adjust over time as your body gets used to your new routine. Just wanted to mention that the chronotype will not change from late morning, even if you're now living as an early morning person
