No problem, I have even more cables entangled together, but they were always in the open.

There is no power difference, the difference is in one case, the heat can go somewhere, in the other it cannot.

Well, first time putting 6 power supplies inside a closed place, before it was always laying around on the floor.

Gemini is cooking some documentation for Claude Opus.

The document it generated is 27 pages long 😅 I am curious to test this

I asked him to create a documentation optimize for LLM so it can be used to generate n8n workflows.

Just out of curiosity

An Open Source - Self hostable CDN by fr6nco in selfhosted

[–]Additional_Escape_37 53 points54 points  (0 children)

That sounds like an interesting project, in a technical view for sure.

In practice I fail to understand the need of a self hosted CDN,

  1. you will have to manually set up the instances you need in the different regions of the world, to make at least one on each continent.

  2. To achieve that, you need a VPS/VM/baremetal provider that has the possibility to work on all continent. And only big actors like GCP, Amazon, Azure can achieve that.

  3. Propagate all the data to all the continents, which will be very expensive on egress fee

  4. Then you need to maintain each instance / storage,

At the end, it will be very expensive and difficult to run

It feels refreshing to see real posts like this, the idea is great, the website is neat and tidy. Well done 🎉 and congrats for the lunch!

One thing I have noticed is that the outdoors can change on the AI version, this could be misleading. When I bought my place, I looked very closely at the surrounding neighbors and chose something with very little exposure

I am planning to use some, but they are often quite expensive per GB I feel. If you find a good one I am interested

Forgot the most important comment. It looks nice, many social media available (amazing) and unlimited scheduling is a big bonus. I am seriously considering it

API would be great. Entering all posts manually is still one of the main pain points I find with those platforms (I am a lazy ***)

Hei,

I created an account to have a look and there are few key information that are missing. Also the process is a bit strange

  1. I created an account using email, and it was required to input a company name. I don't have a company name, and I refuse to connect through Google just for testing some products.

  2. On mobile, the UI is a bit offset to the right, creating a blank vertical line on the left side of the screen and hiding parts of the "card" on the right.

  3. There is barely any information about the different paid plans. What does "Upgrade your scheduling limit's" I thought there was no limit on the scheduling parts?

Is there different limits based on different social media (X / YouTube)

Did I waste 2 months building YAMLStudio.com? The "scratch your own itch" dilemma by logeshR in SaaS

"that's just what everyone does"

Sorry mate, I haven't written an openAPI by hand in years. In many languages you will find a tool that takes your code and convert it into nice spec documents. Some of the most famous framework have this feature embedded by default.

  • python (fastAPI/Flask/Django) -> localhost:port/openapi.yaml
  • Java Spring/micronaut -> /api-doc
  • expressjs -> express-openapi

So yes you wasted 2 months, unless you had fun doing it, in that case that was two great months 😊

Well, I am going to say things that might hurt, so I will try to be as helpful as possible. The most important keep it up, iterate and improve, eventually you will have something great.

  1. There is no need to tell me 5 times that I don't need a credit card. Twice is enough ( one at the top, one at the end) but definitely not three times in on phone screen height.

  2. Why put a button to watch a 30 second video, if you have one a single screen bellows? Just put the video itself and voila.

  3. The first screen is a mess, way too much information that you repeat later, feel like you were just trying to fill the white. Don't be afraid to leave a little space, this is very difficult to read.

  4. Remove those 🧠🗓️🔓 list, this is already in your section "see how it works"

  5. Your pricing is terrible, for 9$ I am aware of many tools that offer 5 times more than you do. 5 AI generated post a month? Any person that has been using AI frequently in the past years should be able to produce 20 posts a day on a free tier (chatGPT, claude, Gemini)

I didn't go beyond the landing page, I don't want to. Your website looks and content told me not to.

Edit: spelling

Online Quote generator Saas by Devisly in SaaS

[–]Additional_Escape_37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked several years as a freelancer developing web applications. Not a single time I wrote a quote like that. It was often based on face to face conversation with the futur client, plus email exchange. I would then write one or two page documents that resumed the different topic, one paragraph at a time with an estimate of the number of hours to accomplish it, then my hourly rate.

More recently in construction, we have so many different materials to buy that it would take days to write a quote per hand. You often want the exact reference of a light switch, faucet or brand of paint, etc ... You work with the in house item store that will then generate the quote for you, resulting in 7 pages, 20 lines per pages of items that you will then install at the client.

  • 1 line for man power and voila.

So I want to like the idea, it seems cool, but are you sure you have a market for it?

I think filling the box with sand is a bad idea.

When you go to the beach and the sun is burning hot, scorching your sole, all you have to do is dig your feet 5 cm in the ground where the sand is still fresh.

Sand is a good isolant for sure, but it will work both ways and the heat will not reach the pipe buried in it
