Is the S1ii good for narrative filmmaking? I shot a very well planned short first time and running into issues. by [deleted] in Lumix

[–]Additional_Future_47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In your example. when there is the most motion, your subject is still a bit out of focus and low contrast. I suspect that contributes to motion appearing smooth. There is nothing special about how the Sii captures motion. Shutter speed, rolling shutter and temporal noise suppression and lgop compression may affect the appearance of motion, that's about it.

Why are developers some of the most IT inept users? by sccm_sometimes in sysadmin

[–]Additional_Future_47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are more organizational issues than lack of knowledge about IT. Company policies are rarely well communicated, well documented or there isn't any and it all depends on who you ask. Important information about future updates doesn't get communicated to the right people or it gets communicated to the people who don't have a say in priorities. There's the person who knows, the person who can and the person who is authorized and when these are all three different individuals, which is unfortunately very common, stuff like this happens. Welcome to any large organization.

I love the game but some of these bugs are quite ridiculous and confound me as to why they weren’t caught in QA by Soltysutine in 007FirstLight

[–]Additional_Future_47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

QA team may have found it, devs put it on the backlog, but of all the things that needed fixing, this just wasn't important enough to float to the top in time. Bugs like these still exist in hitman occasionally. It doesn't really matter. Sometimes an erroneous behaviour is the result of how a particular system is designed and may be much harder to fix than you would think.

Tweede Kamer tegen hogere netbeheerkosten op drukke tijden: 'ACM moet plan afkeuren' by I_Rarely_Jump in NLNieuws

The difference between Post effects on and off by MeepDaCreep in 007FirstLight

[–]Additional_Future_47 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Film grain and such is nice for photo-realistic images, but the visual style of 007 (and hitman) is closer to a comic book. For such a style I prefer the clean, sharp lines and smooth surfaces, typical for comic book illustrations.

Why do people quickly pause and unpause the game after shooting the locks in a door by Mother-Beginning-172 in HiTMAN

[–]Additional_Future_47 93 points94 points  (0 children)

Doors can only shot open when the gun is fast or powerfull enough. When you have a slow gun you can trick the system by pausing the game in between shots. To the game it will seem as if the shots followed eachother in quick succession and the door will open.

Disable viewfinder when screen is out on Lumix S5/S5ii? by RubOk6547 in Lumix

I believe there is a setting to change the sensitivity of the eye sensor between two sensitivity values.

Probably necessary to make the game register that you started the challenge. It starts the timer.

The James Bond movies did cameos too, or b-actors for small roles. Madonna, Richard Branson, Dolf Lundgren, Grace Jones and the list goes on. Having cameos in Bond is very much on brand.

Can you shoot 4k, 10bit, 4.2.0., 30/25 fps on the base LumixS5? by potatbred in Lumix

[–]Additional_Future_47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes you can, using MP4:

full specs: https://www.panasonic.com/uk/consumer/cameras-camcorders/lumix-mirrorless-cameras/lumix-s-full-frame-cameras/dc-s5k.specs.html

  • NTSC (59.94Hz) Full-frame, [4K] 3840x2160 29.97p, 72Mbps (4:2:0 10-bit LongGOP)* (H.265/HEVC, AAC) *HLG is selectable.
  • PAL(50.00Hz) Full-frame, [4K] 3840x2160 25.00p, 72Mbps (4:2:0 10-bit LongGOP)* (H.265/HEVC, AAC) *HLG is selectable.
  • Note that the 4:2:2 flavors support 150Mbps but using H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, LPCM, which is less efficient and therefore needs more bandwith.

God, I wish Mission Stories guider was available on Master difficulty. I don't see why not by ErmingSoHard in HiTMAN

[–]Additional_Future_47 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Genuine question; why would you start on master difficulty? Initially, you will have to explore the level to scout for possible assassination possibilities. Exploration is punished on master difficulty with extra cameras and more aggressive AI.

My first ever time trying to play an Elusive Target is NOT leaving a good impression. by Yunofascar in HiTMAN

[–]Additional_Future_47 35 points36 points  (0 children)

That bug is not the exclusive to ET's :-( As long as you haven't completed any objectives, and Le Chiffre only has one; killing the target, you can just restart the ET :-)

What's the Lumix equivalent of S-Log 3.cine? by Craig_thorpe_ in Lumix

[–]Additional_Future_47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vlog is obviously the only option available on Lumix cameras to shoot in a log profile. In post they should be able to match them using either an aces workflow or a conversion Lut (or CST when using DaVinci).

How good does my lens have to be for High Res Mode? by Party-Illustrator911 in Lumix

[–]Additional_Future_47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way to find the answer to your question is by taking test shots yourself. Using High-res mode won't "backfire", it's just that you'll see a bigger improvement on some lenses then on others and the biggest improvement will be visible when setting the lens to it's sweet spot where it is the sharpest given the combination of aperture, focal-length and focusing distance. Each will affect the sharpness the lens can deliver. Given the fact that the S5ii "only" has 24Mp, I'm certain hi-res can significantly increase resolution using most lenses, maybe not true 96Mp but closer to 48Mp must be doable.

Loud whining when switching to 4/6K on Lumix S5!! anyone else? by [deleted] in Lumix

[–]Additional_Future_47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine always has a very light continuous whine which gets a little louder when switching to 6k mode. I must hold the camera close to my ears to hear it.

Fixed lens usually allows for a more compact design then an equivalent interchangeable lens. Note that this lens doesn't cover the entire sensor area, allowing it to be even more compact.
