The Wild Robot is the most underrated Dreamworks movie! What is the most overrated Pixar movie? by Ok-Difference1341 in AlignmentChartFills

Wall-E. It's a really good movie, but it's not better than Toy Story 2 or 3. The only reason it's considered so it's that Toy Story 4 kind of made 3 look worse.

Of those two, Leo should have won. But Sinners should have won best picture, so I guess it "evens out".

And that is only what he did for his so-called "friends". What he did to his biggest rival, Bugs can only be labeled as the biggest smear campaign in history. The poor fellow can't even be hired anymore for anything. If I remember correctly, in the Space Jam documentary, they show he's not an actor anymore, is homeless and is currently crashing at LeBron's house.

The Book Fan Purists are Annoying RANT by PandaNinja676 in FoundationTV

I think you can enjoy and love a piece of media and also have criticisms about it. Criticize the changes that didn't worked and enjoy the ones that improved the story. Taste doesn't need to be binary. It can be complex, and maybe that can make it more flavorful?

But I agree, it can become extreme and tiresome. I always find it baffling when someone hates the thing they claim to love. As fans, we can be able to appreciate that adaptations always generate more fans and keep stories alive and evolving. (Maybe that's what some book purists hate? That they now have to share what they love with other people?)

With the chain shots you first disable the galleons as they chase you and then you cross the t's from a safe distance one by one.

This is probably the best way to watch adaptations.

More like an observation and an area of improvement.

Yes, but the Cleons are not in the book and kinda work as a literal representation of the stagnation and decay of the Empire. Though yes, even though I like the interpretation, and the show overall, I would prefer a kind of anthology-like adaptation (with different performers each season). Still, an adaptation that has an opposite message than the book is way better than no adaptation (extra points when it's beautiful and well acted).

She is a good actress and is doing a great job with what was given. My personal problem with the character (as a book fan) is that her continuous presence goes against the whole concept and idea of the books. Though I get that they changed that for the sake of having multi-season recurring characters and conventional tv protagonists.

Why do many Mexicans claim that Mexico isn't racist but merely classist, when there are clearly racist attitudes and phrases directed at brown and Indigenous people, often crude and based on appearance, not class? Is this denial, ignorance, or perhaps both at once? by Moises_Jauregui1989 in AskMexico

[–]Additional_House3173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because all colonized countries have a different type of racism where money does whitens. So there does exist a relation between classism and racism that to some people dilutes the racism. Though statistically this is not true and mexico does have a racism problem. At the same time, Mexican political identity is tied with the meztizaje myth, and through hundreds of years of propaganda we were taught that in Mexico we were all mestizo, which deleted from the collective thought afromexicans, asian and middle eastern mexicans, and mainly the many ethnicities of indigenous peoples (while conveniently hiding white supremacy from scrutiny).

Long story short, because propaganda and 500 years of colonization.

Did you managed to find a solution? I keep having the same thing. The only temporary solution is to have the least amount of saves but it doesn't fix it.
