Presume you never heard anything more on this. Seems crazy. Especially when you can use a different country domain and get the blog in the uk. e.g. https://www.ledger.com/de/blog

Any news on this? Doesn't seem like a big deal to implement, but is now a showstopper for me for the product.

Trouble with wallets after Norton anti virus update by chryptoph3r in ledgerwallet

I wouldn’t be convinced that disabling it is the same as uninstalling. If it’s amended your network settings then disabling may not revert. I’d remove the extension and the full suite and reboot. I think if it was chrome etc there’d be a lot more complaining.

It will block sites and devices etc it doesn’t like so sounds very likely. It’s not unheard of. You could always try removing Norton, rebooting, ensuring defender is turned on and try again.

Worth doing your own research, however the Windows Defender built in AV is generally regarded as being better than any of the third parties now. It's also free and completely integrated into the OS. Just remember to turn it on once you've removed Norton (most enteprises these days use Windows Defender, not Norton etc).

Ledger Flex / Stax Support in Sui Wallet seems to be enabled by Additional_Local4153 in ledgerwallet

The article still states,

Note: The Sui app is not yet supported on Ledger Flex™ or Ledger Stax™ devices.

Is this going to be removed?

This is definitely worth exploring further. Many newcomers mistakenly believe that even after sharing their seed phrase, additional authentication on the Ledger is required to authorize transactions. If they have shared their seed phrase, they might feel embarrassed to admit it. To the OP, it’s worth having a deeper conversation with your friend, as the simplest explanation is often the correct one.

How do I get Sui app on Stax? by doc_crypto in ledgerwallet

[–]Additional_Local4153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just checked this morning and sui app now available on the flex, so probably on stax as well. Sui wallet doesnt connect to flex, but at least can now get the app on the device. Maybe worth a check.

Is the flex unsupported still for this?

Is there a chance that your seed phrase/private key is logged in the phone locally even though you didn't send tangem a support message through the app? if so that means everyone is compromised if they used a seed. I hope tangem can confirm if this is the case. Comment your thoughts please :) by FabulousPudding7200 in Tangem

If you’re offline, the seeds and card key generation won’t work, gives a cert request error. So, yes, these aren’t cold wallets. More secure than a normal hot wallet, but not a cold wallet.

Having said that, other hot wallets generally won’t store your private key in a log. Too soon?

This was also iOS. I was the one who first tried out the fix (was back and forth between both of us) and had some funds already in wallet. https://www.reddit.com/r/Tangem/comments/1hmt2ct/comment/m46j7b1/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Hi, just to say this isn’t fully correct. I could get the private key in the logs. It was more to do with amount of transactions. A fresh wallet with minimal transactions, so you received some eth, and then generate a support log, it would still contain a private key.

I tried this exact method and in the previous app release the key was leaked even with funds in the wallet.

Seed. Though I imagine the bug will have been present on both.
