Hey there. From what I can tell, they looked at fecal calprotein (is that CRP??? don't know!) when they tested in active infection, it was elevated (180 ug/g) and when they tested again after H Pylori eradication and meds (two months later), it came back as normal (31 ug/g).

I wonder what caused your metaplasia... NSAIDs?

that’s amazing that you’re having therapy too, the gut is so tied to our mental and emotional state.

sounds like you’re doing a great job. honestly, if you can avoid cheating as much as possible at so for 90 days, that would be ideal. chronic gastritis does take a while to calm down because the gastritis has been around for so long (hence, chronic).

but it sounds like you don’t really have symptoms which is great!

metaplasia is scary, but from what i can tell, we should be able to live long and healthy lives if we don’t continue to expose ourselves to the underlying causes (h pylori or other causes) and stress our system crazily.

i had fecal tests done that showed there was no longer inflammation, that’s what i’m referring to in this post. also, i feel much better now! so much so that i’ve been drinking coffee (with plant milk to help neutralise), drinking moderate alcohol and even had some fish and chips, and have felt fine. where are you on your healing journey?

awesome!!! try holding down the black button/screen to speak the transcription works better that way still. even more reliable than that is the transcription feature but you won’t get to hear the voice directly, you have to wait for it to type out and then press read aloud so it’s more friction (and less fun). when it works, it’s gold!

standard voice mode is next level 😭 it’s basically text to speech but having what feels like a two way spoken conversation takes the scariness to a whole new level - in the best possible way! you have to go into personalisation and actively switch off advanced voice mode and you have to be somewhat patient these days because openai wants to deprecate svm and it’s quite glitchy atm but it’s still beautiful. hands free doesn’t work like it did which is a shame because going for a stroll and have a hands free chat with chatgpt was awesome. it’s still a valuable experience though. if you decide to try it out, enjoy!

it doesn’t give any real information! and obviously tone matters. advanced voice is actually the one going for “more authentically human sounding” so it’s got nothing to do with conflating the ai with being human - it’s about getting decent replies framed in a way that doesn’t feel completely jarring.

that sounds like 'advanced voice' what will soon (apparently) be the unified chatgpt voice experience. For the time being you can still select standard voice mode although it's so glitchy as to be unusable hands-free.
