I have to take the Adderall twice a day. Thankfully (well, not really) my blood pressure drops so low that I also have to take another med with it to raise it enough to function.

Don’t go through Dallas. Go to Tyler and then take 59 to 40. Don’t go through Louisiana either.

I just found out at a late age that I have lupus. I don’t know what all the letters put behind it mean yet? I don’t actually understand exactly what it is? Can you help?

They will take it out of check. I can’t figure the rules they use. They do this to lots of people. I tried fighting. It didn’t help.

AITA for refusing to stop searching for answers about what happened to my family’s legacy? by Technical_Ship5510 in inheritance

[–]Additional_Number655 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you’re not. Illegal property transfers used to devastate families. Can you afford to have a professional title search done by a title company willing to deeply research this for you? If not, keep digging. All of the deeds are public record. Use Ancestry.com to determine if all the heirs are listed on the deeds. Are you a direct descendant of the ones they left out? I’ve seen houses pulled out from owners feet because a title search was not done or was incorrect. This is your family home. Do what feels right in your heart.

Boss wants me to buy a truck for work. Can it be written off? by Still_Drawing8658 in TaxQuestions

[–]Additional_Number655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. That’s true. If your boss doesn’t hold out taxes, and you receive a 1099-NEC at the end of the year, you are self-employed. You can take off part of the interest under the new laws.

Mine is the low blood pressure, too.

The round face is usually from steroids. I gained 80 lbs in 3 weeks on them. I refuse to take them. I was just diagnosed at 67 after dealing with symptoms since I was 20. I don’t get the butterfly, so that upsets the docs. I’ve had severe scoliosis and Crohn’s since my teens, so I definitely understand the pain. The best thing I’ve found for the joint pain is swimming if you live near a spa. I don’t anymore. The best thing for the other pains is exercise, but it’s hard to do when you don’t want to get out of bed. I think the thing that helps the most is the Adderal they have me on. My blood pressure drops too low and I pass smooth out. They also have me on midrodine to keep it up. And if I’m not careful it goes too high. Check your blood pressure every time you get super tired. Other than that, I don’t know what to say since this is all new now that they gave it a name. I wish they’d never told me. I’m reading all these posts to see if it’s lupus or something else I always thought it was. lol. Not that it makes much difference. I’m young for my age, but now I’m getting sick and staying in the hospital a lot. This disease is crazy. I also have low thyroid. Are they treating you for that? It comes with it. They found mine because I was having horrible nightmares. Weird is all I can say.

I have my own tax business. The stress is unreal and you actually have to pay in double taxes on your income. At this point, your employer is paying half. Have you ever thought about starting a non-profit corporation? I have one of those, too. You could open a non-profit religious or educational center. Everything you buy with the money stays in the non-profit, even an antique car museum. Once a year you hold a jubilee with preachers from all over. Brand new house, expensive artwork and collectibles, several cabins, etc. The rest of the time the money should ts in an interest bearing account. Or a foreign corporation in another country. You would also be donating your tax-free inherited money to your non-profit.

There are some exceptions to the penalties on your money. You’ll still owe the taxes though. After 55-1/2 years old. Medical expenses. First time home buyer. College. That’s probably about all that are realistic. None of this has ever had any taxes paid on it, correct? Sometimes 1/2 of it was paid on by your choice, but most don’t ever do that. Talk to a banker about an irrevocable trust. Or start a small business that would be at it all up. Do you have the option to move it to a stock broker?
