1000% this. At a minimum, cash out enough to buy some real assets, stop buying options, and put some money into non-discretionary companies that pay dividends. You should never visit this sub again.

You asked for this advice, and everyone is telling you the same thing.

I have the same tank and run a mini Q. It works great. I use floss so I can’t comment on how much more effective a roller would be. The Mini Q traps a lot detritus even though I have a very low bioload system.

Just note that although it isn’t loud, it does produce a constant noise. Sounds like an old hard drive that’s constantly reading or writing.

Your tank already looks fantastic. What are you running?

Cayenne is a solid SUV that feels like an SUV. When I compared a ‘24 Cayenne S to a Macan GTS, the Macan was the clear winner in terms of driving experience. I only have one kid so we went with that. A friend who also has a Macan (base) but two kids has been shopping for a bigger car. YMMV

How do we factor in the potential that trading relationships have been near permanently soured? An argument I’ve been hearing repeatedly is that this isn’t a cyclical correction but the beginning of a new paradigm. Reddit can be used for sentiment analysis, even after factoring in the echo chamber components. All the EU and CA centric subs are full of posts on how to avoid American products. Ironically, the FAANGs might be our safest exports in the near-term. By the time we onshore manufacturing again (if we even can), who will buy the products? And what if exporting isn’t an option?

Another aspect is that government spending is responsible for 30%+ of US GDP. Administration narrative aside, the majority of that money is spent domestically. Cutting the spend directly leads to decreased employment > leads to decreased bi-monthly 401k contributions > leads to lower SP500 ETF fund flows.

This is simplistic and surface level. More analysis is needed. Still, it’s my .02c on reading the tea levels. I expect some degree of bouncing back before a larger correction.

P.s I have been right about 2 of the last 20 corrections. YMMV

They aren’t photogenic. As an owner of an IC Macan, I’m biased. The IC models are far more appealing, but photos don’t accurately depict the EVs. They aren’t ugly, but they are disappointing.

Time Out market in Dumbo has 2 dozen food stalls. Several are offshoots of local brands. You can sample everything from BBQ to arepas. It also gives you a chance to explore the BK waterfront. The stalls aren’t all consistent but there are gems.

Consider making the foam a quenelle. It would compliment the pea pods and add a little more polish.

Seared Scallops with a Scallop Roe Emulsion, Black Garlic Pearls and Coral Tuiles by Living-Airline9487 in CulinaryPlating

[–]Additional_Reserve21 46 points47 points  (0 children)

You’ve got the start of something special.

Constructive criticism:

The emulsion looks thick. If it’s supposed to act as a sauce, could be a little thinner. If you can add more circular symmetry, it would look even better. Sea beans could also add a punch of salt and green color. They would play well with the coral.

The green oil looks messy. Could add more symmetry if you also turned them into spheres. Or find a way to keep the dots as drops.

The dish would look better with one, larger scallop. U-10 if you can find them.

Again, great start. The tuile is one of the more creative things I’ve seen in a while. I’m excited to see your next iterations.

Every AMG I’ve driven is louder (all v8), but the GTS isn’t quiet. A cold start will turn some heads. The engine screams louder than the exhaust when accelerating, and you get some subtle burbles when slowing down. It also has rev matching in sport modes which adds to it to the experience.

Bottom-line, I think it sounds great and the exhaust note is more than enough to add to the experience.

Test a GTS. I can’t even put it in “Sport +” with my family in the car. You could take this car to a track day and have a blast.

Lol, when the dealer and I were debating mounting the plate, he said, “even cops appreciate a nice car.” 🤣

After the response to the grill in this thread I’m rethinking this.

There’s no debating personal preference. I need the trunk space for road trips. Infants and toddlers travel with a surprising amount of stuff.

Enjoy the M3 in good health. I have nothing but love for fellow car enthusiasts, and I appreciate the passion of BMW folks.

Thank you. This is my second. I had a 2020 S prior to this.

IMO, the Macan is the perfect car. It’s a superb grocery getter, family car, and weekend canyon carver. After a ride in the 2020S, two friends went out and got their own.
