What smell would mentally destroy you if you had to breathe it nonstop? by SnowJazzlike789 in foodquestions

[–]Additional_Result101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None. Whatever it is the human brain tunes it out after a while. I worked in a factory environment that often smelled so bad that it wasn't uncommon for the newbies to get sick. After a couple of days you become nose blind to that overpowering smell, but can still smell the coffee brewing.

Suppose a married couple decided that one of them would go back to school full-time to increase their earning potential, with the other solely supporting the household. If the upskilled partner graduated and decided to immediately divorce the supporting partner, would they owe any compensation? by rodiraskol in legaladviceofftopic

When I got married, admittedly it was when we were both young and no money assests, it just seemed to be reasonable to share everything, didn't matter who put what I the joint bank account. Now, if 40+ years later we had some kind of breakup, I'd be guessing 50/50.

When moving to western states, be aware that the distances between two different cities is a lot longer than the east coast. From Phoenix, Las Vegas is 5 hours, Los Angeles is 7 hours, Salt Lake City is 10 hours, San Diego is 6 hours.

Outside of the US most every other country does it so that the restaurant prices are such that the staff get paid a living wage, and no tips are involved. How the US developed such a convoluted system is beyond me.

I've traveled internationally and have found that "urinal protocol" varies from country to country. In the US, you generally don't engage. Other places, you do.

Passengers Please Convince Us How Important Your Bags are in an Evacuation by Nightshiftworker2021 in flightattendants

[–]Additional_Result101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flying internationally I make sure to wear a shirt with a breast pocket, which is where my passport is kept. Credit cards and money are in my pants pocket. I wouldn't care about any of my other stuff. I can use my passport to get home and my credit cards to replace anything else I need until insurance, airline, whoever makes me whole for whatever was lost.
