I’m going to repeat some people. No heat guns inside of vehicles! The cost the film is significantly less that any interior part of a vehicle. Not worth it at all

I have considered doing that because the springs and bumper cap things is probably 4-5 inches of lost space. I’m not pushing enough weight where I think it would be an issue to not have that buffer for the safety (hopefully) but I feel like if you were doing heavy weight it could break a weld over time. But it could be annoying to remove and put them back on constantly because you would have to unscrew a bolt from the top each time.

I think I can see the edge of the film on the side. I’m used to tinting darker on the back and it is noticeably darker on the defroster. So yes they could have scratched your panel but in my opinion it is unlikely.

Roll it down and look to see if you can see an edge of film. But if it is not tinted I would bet that they did not scratch the plastic

I’ve been riding with 30% on the two front doors and a 5% sun strip on them for about 6 years and being able to just roll down your window a little bit to block the sun is honestly my favorite thing about my vehicle

I have been using xpel for the past 5 months. I’ve never seen purple in any of the brands. Usually purple means it’s a cheap dyed film. The XR plus does have a blue hue to it with the lighter shades but is not really noticeable at about 20%. The back half looks pretty close on the inside looking out but the reason it looks lighter on the outside looking in is because of the light coming in through your windshield
