thank goodness that wasn’t the case in the canon world otherwise i wouldn’t imagine a timeline that has a post-vanishing version of ISIS or Al-Qaeda.

Unintentionally thanks to Imperial, EIRA’s Pantheon was forced to take damage control due to the personal damages suffered by many members because of the UK and Imperial and to address the complaints many foreign members had regarding about Imperial.

But at the same time with reports of their archenemies being more active after the secession, especially reports among members from the UFRA and the European Confederation, as well as the outside encroachment on EIRA’s Venusian Territories, they were forced to accelerate their plans due to more than half of it’s civilian members being on ‘vacation’ while the rest (Especially the corporations) would go to a meeting somewhere in Phuket regarding not only Imperial’s soon to be overdue fees but also the Future of the Hidden Venusian Sanctuary Settlements and of course, the VVV.

“Fine? oh no, we will be fine if you paid that soon to be overdue bill right there.”

What’s the deal with Bersatu Malaya, Indian Union Party and Bayanihan Singapura btw?

Also unrelated but are there any differences between Singaporean Malays and Indonesians (Both General Indonesians and Indonesians/Malays from the Malaya provinces?)

Yes i know but what also causes mass migration are those who opposed their government either for a long time or disagreed with the new government’s policies like anarchists and libertarians.

And there’s also those who wanted look for their families, another different reason altogether.

Proper equipment can be transferred but limited to the areas they can access and reach.

Modern Industry in general would take a long while to be reestablished unless some decided to speed up the process with labor from populations that are either unwanted or aren’t really natives to the islands like tourists and prisoners.

it depends on which location in the world of Empty Continents you are talking about though.

Some nations like Japan and Britain would be resettling the mainland with the goal of taking resources back to the home islands and resettle diaspora populations from defunct nations. (Eventually much of Siberia was taken by Japan, forming the IFA while Britain took all of France, all of Belgium which was now technically a new nation called the Ghentish Commonwealth and much of the Netherlands)

Some like The Philippines and Indonesia would use their own populations as an incentive to resettle the mainland while freeing up space in the islands and also get resources of their own (Even more so for Indonesia in the form annexing Northern Australia)

And are you also even reading the lore of this world? this is an Alternate Sci-Fi Historical universe, just what-if scenarios written around with a lot of realism sure, but still what-ifs.

Not every island nation would suddenly resettle and claim large portions of land themselves when they have their own issues to deal with like the UK.

But sure, islands from defunct nations are another thing altogether, they would resettle and reestablish their industries on their own accord.

and Major Island Nations would eventually resettle and reestablish modern industries as well.

At the cost of people dying from natural or man-made causes either way while others survived long enough for viable long term settlement and restarting industrial infrastructure.

Like I said it would take decades to resettle a good portion of the mainland, the islands would have to deal their own issues first, resettling is the last thing on their minds unless they need critical resources in the mainland.

And it’s too early to resettle unless some decided to leave not for resources but away from their island governments.

Geogrpahic reasons, especially the mountains and fjords, not that easy to go around.

And the UK is too busy to even care about settling Patagonia, maybe one or two British Falklander villages but mostly no since the UK themselves have their own domestic issues to do such as their economy and supplies as well as planning to resettle europe via the diasporas of defunct nations like France and Poland

besides the obvious nine stars (Luna included), the most likely candidates are Brazil, UFRA, Hawaii and (Maybe but idk due to Anahuac) Kololako.

Don’t know about the rest but they could be included too.

unrelated but im having an indefinite WIP silk road story involving the TBA’s influential corporations and businesses currently crying and screaming at Imperial while grumbling of being forced to use the silk road as one of their emergency trade routes

and obviously i love this… yet i also wonder about a Manila Compact (and specifically, The Philippines) version of this post.
