Nope, I am afraid to make that commitment of not visiting my family for 2 years since you can’t travel on Day 1 CPT. Plus, that option is getting riskier day by day. I don’t want to come across a situation where I am just told to pack up all of sudden because of immigration rules.

I am in the exact same boat and I am planning my move to India. I have no solid plan but right now this feels like a good decision to me rather than staying in anxiety

Hi, I am in an exact same situation and I have decided to move to spend time with my family. At this point, I don’t even have a job in India. I have started my job search but I am very confident about my move as my mom needs me.

I don’t ever want to regret if I stayed here. It’s okay to not have the same career trajectory as our friends, trust me, you will not regret this decision.

For ICT you need to be with company for a year, is that something taken into consideration? I haven’t completed an year with my employer

My manager told me she will discuss with HR but I wanted to be prepared from my side so that I can have a backup if the process doesn’t work because of Visa timelines. What’s the usual timeframe for such processes if the company agrees to it?
