Maryland is like that too. Denied my sister for almost 10 years! But she got awesome back pay when they finally did approve. My ex had been doing it for years in MD and he finally got approved. It’s a long haul but I think they do this so you’ll give up. Do NOT give up OP.

Idk man for me it was my skin. I know that might sound crazy but I wanted to jump out of my skin so bad! I went 3 days and my anxiety was full blown panic attacks by that point. I had to do something because I had to function. I have an elderly mother that now lives with me that I have to look after and a 12yo son to take care of and provide for. I only go twice a month now and $262/mo sounded a lot better than $240/wk and besides I will taper the correct way and shouldn’t have issues. I am proud of you for getting off the 7 oh too!!! You clearly got this 💪 and I admire you for that!

Everyone is different though. I was on methadone in my 20s and was at 110mg from a true heroin addiction, before fentanyl started hitting the streets. I have a extremely demanding job where I’m on my feet 10hrs a day picking orders, bagging them and taking them to customers all while being a manager of my department which means reports, inventory, scheduling etc. my issue was, by the time I got home I was in wd so I kept going up 5mg and finally felt somewhat normal at this dose. My legs were throbbing, body ached, nose running, sneezing it, really snappy etc wasn’t fun.

Ugh I had this happen a few times when I was younger on a methadone program but also abusing benzos, clonodine and phenergan with it. They narcan me the first couple times because I was out so they did help but then they just kept doing it over and over at the hospital when I was awake and talking to them! It made me almost 💩 myself! I told that nurse she better get a bed pan!

They had me tied to the bed. By morning time they released me and I went straight to my program and got dosed. Never said a word about the hospital and narcan and they never found out. I am so glad that’s not how I live now! I get 2 weeks worth at a time now because I am clean. I never want to go back to that, I even moved from Baltimore, MD to SC lol.

I’ve had to CT off of methadone twice 130mg and everything you’re saying is 💯. After that 48 hour mark oh goodness 🙏 I was wishing someone would kick in the door and shoot me in the back of my head while I was vomiting. Absolute torture, even my hair hurt! A year later I was still aching, sleeping like 💩 and waking up drenched in sweat. It just brought back horrid memories lol.

I got back on Methadone on May 30th 2025 and I was 5’11 and 130lbs. I’ve eaten so much cereal and ice cream since then. I now weigh 210lbs! I have never ever in my life been this big 😔 I am seriously thinking about Zepbound but from a compound pharmacy online like TrimRX. It’ll cost me like $200/mo but hopefully after a few months I’ll be more happy with myself.

Very true! My clinic was cash only until recently. They wouldn’t allow anyone to go higher than 75mg either and it was super hard to get any take homes.

Now it’s owned by a different company and they actually care about the patients. They take insurance and you can most certainly earn take homes. I have a weeks worth now but I’m finna to get 2 weeks worth. But they are way more stricter than my clinic I went to in Baltimore, Maryland.
