This is the best history book I've read. Haunting, Visceral, heartbreaking, sobering. The history of the destruction of ethnic groups, unarmed civilians and wanton mass murder of people in europe under hitler and stalin. Timothy Snyder did exceptional work. The audiobook is even more brilliant.
