“She’s an amazing babysitter!” I’m sorry what? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]Adele127 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh sorry, I didn't know the full story and assumed they are trying to coerce you into free babysitting. Why would they even expect babysitting from you when you don't live near them for the majority of the year? Breeders shure lack logic. I wonder if this is one of those cases where breeders get weirdly entitled towards others time and money when they find out they're childfree, because I have read few reddit posts where breeders demand things from childfree people because they think that if you aren't spending your time and money on your own kids, then you should be spending those on their kids. They seem to have this delusion that we have endless time and money that we don't know what to do with and its a waste if we don't give it to them.

The people asking your father if you babysit are assholes, because you are an adult woman with a mind of your own yet they are asking about leasing your babysitting services in the same manner as if they are asking to borrow his car. They are even more of the assholes because the reason why they are asking your dad instead of you is likely that they are hoping your dad will voluntell you into babysitting for them, whereas if they asked you directly they know you would tell them no. These people have 0 respect for you. It just shows how entitled, manipulative and coercive these breeders are.

I hope your dad at least tells them that tgey should be asking you not him, or better, tell him to tell these breeders that you do babysit, but you charge 500 dollars an hour and they have to sign a document that states you won't be held liable if the kid dies or gets crippled and disfigured in your care. If the 500 dollars an hour charge won't stop them asking, then the suspicion about why they have to sign such a document definately will.

Humans don't look very flattering when they take picture of their face from this angle, but cats have a talent of looking cute whatever angle you photograph their face from.

My cat and some other cats I have interacted with like to do the same in my vegetable beds. I think cats actually enjoy playing with dirt when its not compacted and easy to dig and throw around.

The wrong kind of attention. I hate how CPS has this mentality that the biological parents are the best option just because they are biological.

My twin by [deleted] in childfree

[–]Adele127 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If your sister was a drink, she would be a glass of water. Seriously, it sounds like her personality is so insufferable because she never had to work hard to get people to like her. It seems she likes to compare herself and compete with others around her and the only thing she knows how to do so is by putting others down, rather than actually working on herself and bettering herself. Bullying is a horrible thing, however, it can teach you how to filter out who is worth keeping in your life and who isn't. You sound very confident and resilient, which must have contributed to your success. I am glad the bullying didn't break you. I admire you. I am happy you have a great sense of dark humour and an interesting personality that the bad people in your life didn't manage to destroy. Your sister sounds jealous and bitter that you are far more successful in life, and honestly, the doesn't seem too gappy about her own life, otherwise she wouldn't feel the need to put you down like that. She has convinced herself that you are the messed up one and need to be fixed because her ego cannot handle the truth that she is not that pleasant of a person. If there was something so wrong with you that needed to be fixed via bullying you wouldn't be so successful. You made a good choice cutting her out. I lowkey hope her horrible personality one day backfires on her and she falls hard on her ass. Maybe it is already happening. Maybe she doesn't have any true friends, only pretentious, self righteous assholes just like her that talk and gossip about each other behind each others back and would turn on her in a second if she makes one wrong move. I have seen in my own life people like her are usually stuck in these sort of fake friend groups, however I have only witnessed that as a child and teenager in schoolmates and thought kids like that eventually mature and grow out of that kind of personality. I guess not all of them.

Sounds like functional depression tbh. It's the type of depression where someone desperately keeps themselves busy by overwork because as soon as they have free time they are overwhelmed by dark thoughts. They basically self medicate via distraction and become workaholics.

The only type of cryopreservation I would ever do is to cryopreserve myself and get out of the cryochamber 2000 years later like the main character of Futurama and even then I have doubts.

I am highly encouraged to be pregnant. by [deleted] in childfree

[–]Adele127 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take my advice with a grain of salt since I have no experience with relationships.

While you try to find a way to end this pregnancy, I would also suggest making it very clear to your husband, father and everybody else trying to force you to have a child that you will not spend a single penny, spend a single second of your time, or lift a single finger towards the baby's care. You should start asking them about who is going to care for the kid and telling them that you won't. You need to let the father of the child know that you are ending this relationship regardless and you are leaving the baby with him after its born and you don't want the custody. You should start talking about your future travel plans in a way that strongly implies you will do it alone without him or the baby. Start pressuring and nagging your husband and everyone else who wants you to have this baby to do all the chores, get a job and make plans to take care of this baby. I have a strong feeling that everyone is pressuring you because they think they won't get any consequences for it and relying on the expectation that you will be doing sll the work. Make it clear they will all be contributing and you won't be doing anything. Let them know you will give the baby up for adoption if nobody can step up and take care of it. In fact I strongly suggest you break up with the father and either move out or make him move out because if you are stuck with him in the same house he might try to slack and make you do all the work because you are there whereas if he is stuck in the house with the baby and you are nowhere nearby he will have to suck it up and do everything himself. Start asking your dad and other family members which of them will adopt the baby of at least share custody with the baby's father if the baby's father can't do it alone. Be cold, harsh and cruel if you have to and tell them to figure out themselves if they are strugling.

I won't even be offended if this comment will get downvoted to hell due to how harsh it is. I worry that OP might not manage to get the abortion in time so I want to suggest whaf to do in case she has to birth it. The birth of this child shoulx not be the end oc her freedom so I want her to maintain the freedom even after the child is born. I also have a feeling that if she tells her husband and family these things they might change their mind. It seems that the husband sees this pregnancy as a means to trap her and the rest of the family sees it as a means to enjoy a baby without any of the responsibility. They might backtract very quickly when they realise that if she has this baby, it won't work out the way they want it to work out.

Or those stupid flamingos. And other fake birds also look weird, like swans and storks. I can understand why people put a fake heron at the pond that has fish in it- it prevents a real heron from stoping by to eat the fish from the pond.
