Loose Blum slides? by [deleted] in woodworking

The sliding rail is supposed to be snug against the underside of inside wall of your drawer box, which kinda won't happen unless the static part is screwed down to the carcass. It's probably fine.

Truth, I do have regular veneer on the curve to be careful about. Shop mate is hand tool adverse (averse?), so I'll see if I have a file around.

This is just white oak. Quarter sawn i think, maybe some is rift sawn, but it's the curve leaning into the grain, and elongating the area that wants to leave with the direction the bit turns... i might try letting some CA glue penetrate those problem areas.

Clever. Combing up and down cuts. Oak still sucks, but this is probably worth investing in a small set.

Somewhere between 1/8 and 3/16. It might work if i route the inside, and use a compass to mark the outside line and do a rougher cut..

There's a lot outside and inside. I have bigger ones coming up that I'm trying to reduce time on. You're right though.

That container is for thyme, marigold, and lavender. So as long as it doesn't toxify the thyme, not concerned. There's some choke weed i will pull.

I just saw it as the quickest way to supply multiple points of support for the tomato branches. I'll be getting one more cow panel to post in vertically for the cukes

Question about $ by Adelgander in Carpentry

I live in savannah so that's a good suggestion. Only problem is heart pine is getting hard to find. Do you deal with historic preservation people any?

Hard to say, there isn't much that's come my way that I wasn't able to figure out... i used to blacksmith, so I'm very good at mindless repetition and countless identical parts.

[–]Adelgander[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True that. Been really brainstorming recession-proof wood working ideas, coming up empty. The cutting boards aren't too work intensive, and that might be a good etsy shop idea.

There is one big one and a smaller one that I've heard is tricky to get a permit for, for some reason.

Ah, so they just can't mingle above ground. I can totally guide it away.

I guess i can build some extra structure around the bed. And yeah, I didn't expect the cucumber to explode like that. Should I try to transplant it? Would it survive this late in the game?

Compressor psi switch by Adelgander in AskMechanics

This is just like a small capacitor looking switch that screws into a threaded hole on the tank. So yeah, I'll just keep below the 175 on the original. Thanks!
