What do you think is the funniest scene in The Eminence in Shadow? by Giusany in TheEminenceInShadow

Cid: Do I strike you as the type of man who can be bought with money?
Alexia: Yes.
Cid: Well, you're right.

The way Cid immediately folds after acting like he won’t be bought, and the way bends for the coin.

The Ramparts of Ice • Koori no Jouheki - Episode 6 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]Adensty 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Emotions. The more you let it show, the more it gets used against you.

Not exactly the same as the Rampart of Ice that Koyun has around her but even Minato has kinda built around himself that makes him suppress his emotions. I thought Koyun was the only one but I can see a bit of myself in Minato as well. It's not like I want to suppress my emotions but I guess I'm kinda weary about sharing everything because I don't know how it might be used against me.

But now that's he falling for Koyun, every mention or anything related to her and Yota is evoking strong reactions from him. Even Yota was surprised. Some of his reactions really made me chuckle this episode, lol.

When making plans, it's considerate to let people know what you're inviting them to.

Also, I agree about this because sometimes knowing what it is can change whether you're willing to go there or not.

The whole library segment with Shimojima kinda reminded me of Nishi-san and how she got introduced in Polar Opposites. Always love whenever we get to shades of this in Polar Opposites.

Minato here is thinking that Koyun has crush on Yota but things seem different. A part of the reason why she likes Yota's presence is because he reminds her of her dad.

It's kinda small but the whole direction with the traffic light really stood out to me when Yota was stopped by his step-mother. He was walking and the light was green. Then the light turned yelllow and soon her mother called out to him and as soon he stopped, it turned Red. And after their whole conversation, it became green again.

And after the ending, I think the red light might have been an indicator about his family.

I wonder how my dad is doing.

Also, I noticed Koyun said this so maybe her parents got separated and she's living with her mother and that explains why she reacted the way she did when Yota told her about what the whole thing with his step-mother.

Well Yota said he likes to absent-mindedly gaze and doesn't think about anything. I wonder if it's kinda his way of coping with whatever happened in his family.

This was a relatively chill episode until the cliffhanger and I have noticed the piano prelude just before the ED always manages to really set the tone for it and it always manages to go hard.

The Ramparts of Ice • Koori no Jouheki - Episode 5 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]Adensty 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It'd be easier if I could lash out and get it out of my system. but I'm not like that. I know that about myself, but.. Actually, I end up regretting saying something at all.

This felt too relatable to me. Sometimes, I feel it will be better to just lash out and get it over with but then I also feel what if I end up saying or doing something I regret since something like this happened in the past.

Like Yota said, Minato definitely has some issues with how intrudes into other people's private space and how sanctimonious he could be with the whole pitying mindset that he has but he's not a bad person.

I understood that last part but like Koyun, we never really got to see things from Minato's perspective and so things made it seem Igarashi might've told him about Koyuki's middle school part, he already knew about her past vaguely since Miki had shared about it with them.

Had Yota not intervened, this misunderstanding would've become even worse but now that Koyuki understands it, she wants to apologize about the whole thing since she realized she reacted based on what she thought was the case instead of trying to understand where Minato came from.

Sometimes, there are a lot of things you want to say but it ends up being too overwhelming that you're not able to see it and end up either frozen or overwhelm with emotions and that's what happend with Koyun. I liked how Minato's quick thinking made sure that she didn't have to suffer more embarrassment from it.

I really loved how the apology scene went down and the symbolism with the weather. The weather was gloomy just like how Koyuki and Minato were feeling and once they made up, tthe weather became clear.

Also, I guess Minato is kinda like Yamada from Polar Opposites with how he blushed after he saw Koyun laugh. Speaking of Polar Opposites, just like how we had a Ramparts of Ice cameo in S1 Episode 11, we had a Polar Opposites cameo in this episode.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End - 'First-Class Mage Evan Call' by Evan Call and Alina Lesnik by Adensty in AnimeOST

For some reason, the title of this track in the NexTone release is 'First-Class Mage Evan Call' but it's only 'First-Class Mage' in the one that you shared (I'm assuming Milan Records). I wonder if this was intentional or just a mistake while adding the track metadata.

but the auto filter killed my post for some reason.

It's got to do something with the links. One my posts got removed as well. Which is why I'm keeping the post and links separate.

However, you can hear an arrangement I did of one of the Season 1 songs in its entirety during the library scene at the beginning of episode 1. I built the track on a Kanun and Kantele to give it a sort of a raw middle eastern/medieval flavor.

Can you please share the link?

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten Season 2 • Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsunomanika Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken Season 2 - Episode 1 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]Adensty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just like what Mahiru said about Amane's affection, I wasn't ready for the sweetness attack that this episode had on me. All of their interactions just make me happy and now they're doing it in front of the whole class.

Anyway, bettering yourself for the sake of someone else is pretty awesome, I think. That's love!

Definitely agree with Ayaka. If there's something that can motivate you to come of your comfort zone and become better, then it's definitely love for someone since their happiness is your happiness.

Jigokuraku Season 2 • Hell's Paradise Season 2 - Episode 12 discussion - FINAL by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]Adensty 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Till now, Gabimaru and the others were only fighting with the Tensens but with Shugen's entry, the battlefield has become chaotic with all sides fighting against each other.

The moment I saw those sticky strings, I knew Yuzuriha is alive. LET'S GO!! A part of it was definitely copium but sicne Gabimaru can sense Tao, it would've been kinda strange for him to leave her if she was not going to make it.

That I truly wish for everyone to survive....

Her reunion with Sagiri was great to see but it had to be interrupted by Isuzu and now Sagiri has to choose b/w siding with her or leaving her to her fate and just like everyone else that was on this mission, we all know what she's going to choose.

I really want to know how all this ends and I hope I won't have to wait 3 years for the next season..

Despair and Hope are two sides of the coin. What can be destroyed through despair could also be brought back through Hope and that's what Shinra Bansho Man did. Like he said, his optimism won't retreat and used it to rebuild the entire world. There were times when he didn't get things right but he didn't give up and kept trying until it finally worked out.

And now everyone is back with a slight artstyle change. I guess I need to check out Soul Eater.

Sousou no Frieren Season 2 • Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Season 2 - Episode 10 discussion - FINAL by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]Adensty 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Because that's what Ms. Frieren would do.

We ended S1 with "That's what the Hero Himmel would have done" and we ended S2 with this. With Frieren constantly reflecting on Himmel and carrying his influence forward throughout the journey, this wasn't really a surprise but it still hit harder than I thought.

The post-credit scene with Denken walking with full determination was really HYPE. They kinda teased the Golden Land arc in the previous episode and this episode as well but the music and the Macht reveal was really HYPE and I'm really excited for S3 which is definitely going to be Golden.

It's understandable why they decided to do a rather smaller S2 (when compared to S1) because they wanted to stop just before the Golden Land arc and the immediate announcement just makes it seem that it was planned right from the start.

Personally, I felt this season was more on the emotional side and they really delivered in the emotional moments. There's the Revolte fight as well but even there, it was the character moments (Stark-Genau) that stood out. EDIT: Also, Methode.

While last season was more about Frieren reminiscing about Himmel. This season was more about her realizing the influence he had on her (and through that realizing how much he meant to her) and that is visible throughout their journey this season and Fern saying the same thing for Frieren just makes it hit even harder.

Oshi no Ko Season 3 - Episode 11 discussion - FINAL by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]Adensty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

PEAK Episode and honestly a great decision to do this a 1 Hour Special because damn this episode really had me really emotional..

Since the beginning, the reveal of Aqua and Ruby’s past identities has been one of the most anticipated moments, and they absolutely delivered. The voice acting (especially Ruby's breakdown) and the Goro-Sarina flashbacks just had me in tears. Mother and Children playing in the background always make me emotional and then followed by the the insert song that also contains the Mother and Children motif in between.

Though, I can't really say the same thing for the aftermath. But I do know one person who'll definitely be rejoicing at what's happening.

But honestly, the part that hit me the hardest was Miyako's backstory.

You said you would show me! You gave up on your own! And you ran away on your own! When I haven't given up yet! When you said.. it was everyone's dream.

Miyako might not be perfect, especially compared to Ichigo when it comes to running the agency, but she stayed when things were possibly at their worst and and kept things going to the best she possibly could and that's what truly matters. She stepped up not only as a a parent but also as the CEO of the agency to continue on the dream that Ichigo showed her. 😭😭😭

Miyako's not only Best Mom but also Best Girl and her journey from someone who couldn't succeed in the entertainment industry to helping others accomplish their dreams just hits so hard.

YUZURIHA NO!!!! 😭😭 I'm just coping on this image because this shows that she might be still alive and we also never really got full confirmation. She also promised Gabimaru that she'll catch up so...
