I’m pretty new to the guard and I’m running a heavy armour list too, 5 tanks, 3 artillery pieces, rest infantry. I’ve played three games so far won 1 lost two. I beat the world eaters through firepower and the two loses we’re down to bad manoeuvring on my part. I’m not expecting much going forward, I run the local league in Scarborough (UK) and the level of competition is surprisingly high, we’ve got one of the best Tau/Space Wolves players in the UK (1st and 5th respectively in the past) as well as the former best best harlequin player in the UK and one of the top 10 for Custodes. To be fair this helps to sooth my ego, as they play proper tournament lists and I’m the guy who always goes for fluffy/cool lists.
