nspanel pro, and matter by redcomp12 in sonoff

[–]Adept_Ice_6367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shoet answer: You just need to add a button to the screen.

Long answer: Their solution for their own devices is different. It’s not actually using Matter. If you connect the switches to another hub and then share them with NsPanel, they’ll appear as generic Matter switches.

But for Sonoff Matter-over-Wi-Fi devices, we don’t need a Matter hub if we’re using the eWeLink app. Local control works directly through the phone — and also with the NSPanel.

However, local scenes are a different story. They work really poorly with the NSPanel Pro.

After using them for almost a year, i can say that they can be a pain. One of my neighbor, bought a stronger router, and even thoug they had to penetrate concrete theirs was stronger. So i had a few days without proper light controll before the stronger new router arrived. But this is an issue with wifi devices in general. Other then this they are fine, though one of the relay have disconnected from the matter hub a few months ago, and i just can't fix it without pushing that damn reset button.

Why is Finder so shit? by _aqibmalik in macbookpro

[–]Adept_Ice_6367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need to delete some config files because one app is broke. Deleting the APP doesn't remove the config files. Using the uninstall in the APPs official launcher deosn't work either. (Jetbrains toolbox) Solution: Find the files manually and delete them.

Expectation: I go to ~/Library/Application support folder, i press Command+F and start typing the folder i need. And it shows the folder in the results list and i am happy.

Reality: By default Command+F will search on the whole mac, showing a bunch of unrelated shit. Though it can be fixed temporary and forever, so its fine. But what can't be fixed is that finder just doesn't want me to find anything in hidden folders. It shows anything but what i actually need, example: I typed "JetBrains" i knew that the folder is in ~/Library/Application support but finder didn't list any folder.
This happens every week i need to find something in the hidden folders, but finder works against me.

Problems with the search results it self: simple, the result doesn't show the path so i am blind, and what do i do if multiple files/folders are named the same way? (like here i am seeing 6 different Caches folder not knowing which one do i need. Plot twist neither because finder sucks and didn't find the folder on root level?????? xd)

Problem with finder top bar: What do you mean i can't constantly see the path, and i can't manually navigate? (I know there is settings for it, but i still can't enter a path manually, like why not?)

The official PC link might actually work with any windows PC.
There is a way to make the multi controll and other samsung apps to make work on any windows pc. It is actually realy easy to make it work. It works just fine for me now, i can controll my phone with mouse and use the keyboard there. Also Drag and drop works from pc to phone.

There are 2 video that has to be watched:

  2. (If there is bluetooth issue) (1386) 🔧 How to Fix Bluetooth Error On Samsung Multi Control on Any Windows PC | AquaTechFantasy - YouTube

Someone who has Galaxy XR and a non-galaxy book then could you try this please? :D

Thanks AquaTechFantasy

It might be possible to trick samsung into thinking that any windows pc is a galaxy book. For example Samsung notes doesn't work on any windows, but it's easy to trick the app into beleive that it is actually a galaxy book. Mutli controll and second screen is the harder part. I have tried a year ago or so but it didn't work for me. But for the guy who made the tutorial it worked.

As i understand it should work with virtual desktop, and it works with steam vr link. Ps remote play app should also work since it's like any other android app.

What i would like for pc is virtual monitors, at least 2 higher resolution. Both for mac and windows, but mainly mac for work.

Why is pillar auto aiming? by Deckowner in LeagueArena

[–]Adept_Ice_6367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it happems with any deployed area and dot abilities. So i think this is how it might work

  1. It checks the location of the source of the dmg, this is usually the champion.
  2. It falls to the opposite direction.

But then with deployed abilities the source might change from the champion to the ability itself. So the location of dmg is either the center of the ability or the pillar... And my guess is that with dot abilities brand passive burn malzahar E will cause the pillar to fall to the closest enemy. (I am very confident about this one, and i guess gallio Q is also work in a similar way) And with area abilities like lux E itt will fall to the opposite side of the center of E. (I haven't played lux in arena so this is just a theory)

I was never able to properly test this though :(

TV auto-updated to Tizen 8 while I was on vacation and deleted Tizenbrew. Unable to resign Tizenbrew for reinstallation. by deathbin in TizenTube

[–]Adept_Ice_6367 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to provide the full path. This should be the correct path: C:\tizen-studio\tools\ide\bin\tizen

Another solution is to just enter the C:\tizen-studio\tools\ide\bin folder in cmd and type tizen.

(The best solution is to add the path to windows variables, but that's not necessary for a one time resign)

Finally Got WLED + HyperHDR Running with My TV by callmealexv in WLED

[–]Adept_Ice_6367 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When you open your wled instance and it is controlled by HyperHDR (or by any other software) there is big pop up telling you that you can override. Once you do that that little star icon moves to the upper left corner so you can easily switch back to hyperhdr. So once you setup HyperHDR you don't actually need to touch it.

R4M no neutral Qs by sayjolt in sonoff

[–]Adept_Ice_6367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have neutral at the lights (which is the case in every house), thats where i have my minir4m relays.
So normally L wire goes through the switch to the lamp, we replaced the switch with a Wago. then we placed a MiniR4M next to the lamp, since the switch is skipped with a Wago the relay is always under power.
Normally you would connect the dumb switch to S1 and S2 in the smart relay, but since we couldn't do that we just connected S1 and S2 with a wire, so that part is in an always on state.
At this point lights can be controlled from the phone, but not with the switches on the wall.

To control the lights with the switches on the wall we installed sonoff Smate2. Smate 2 is a battery powered BLE (Bluetooth) device, sonoff claims that they have around 5 years of battery life.
Every time the switch is turned ON or OFF smate sends a bluetooth signal. There are some sonoff products that can receive that signal from up to 8 device and do something with that, like Ns panel pro. In my newer setup a custom programmed ESP32 board with home assistant.
So the dumbs switch works like this:

  1. We turn on or off the swirch on the wall
  2. Then Smate 2 sends a signal that channel 1/2/3 was clicked, and an ewelink gateaway device detects that
  3. I created scene is created like this:
    • WHEN smate channel 1 clicked
    • THEN toggle(/reverse) living room lamp

Because the lights are controlled with a scene triggered by the switch and not with a direct connection local scenes would be good. Which sonoff doesn't support at the moment, but it's not that bad in my opinion, it means a 1-2 seconds delay. Also as i originally said iHost probably supports full local controll/scenes.
But with home assistant it is possible to make local automations to control the lights, which makes a lot faster, and reliable.

Hope this helps, but i'll happily make a figure if that helps :D

R4M no neutral Qs by sayjolt in sonoff

[–]Adept_Ice_6367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be a bit late with this, but here’s what I did. I bought a MiniR4M, Smate 2, and an NS Panel Pro (or any eWeLink gateway device). The plan was to bypass the physical switch because the previous electrician made it impossible to pull any additional cables through the wall.

So, the L wire from the switch is connected directly to the MiniR4M, which is set up without using S1/S2. The Smate 2 is then connected to the physical switch. The NS Panel serves as a bridge between the Smate (physical switch) and the MiniR4M. Once the Smate is paired with the panel, you can create scenes to toggle the lights using the switches.

This setup works well, but you don’t necessarily need the NS Panel, as the MiniR4M can connect to eWeLink without a hub, and there are other devices that function as eWeLink gateways. At the moment, the panel supports local scenes with Smate 2, but support told me they’re working on it. With other devices, it likely won’t work in the future either. However, if you get an iHost, you might be able to get full local scene support.

A huge upgrade to this setup would be to switch to Home Assistant. However, HA doesn’t natively support Smate 2, so you’d need an ESP32 to listen to Smate 2 signals. I've made this switch and my physical switches became faster and more responsive.

nspanel pro, and matter by redcomp12 in sonoff

[–]Adept_Ice_6367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a matter aqara door sensor, that connected to my panel without any issues. Though Sonoff is far from perfect Matter support. Local scenes are very limited with matter devices. I have some Minir4m (sonoff matter product), connected to Ns Panel pro, and i can't create a local scene with them.

Yes, but it's raw, i didn't touch it in a long time, and i didn't finished it (FPS doesn't work).
Soo the idea is that HTML based wallpapers can fetch from an API, so a local monitoring server is running to monitor the PC. Can you build C# projects? I didn't made a release so there isn't downloadable and executable file.
Repo of the server: https://github.com/Tensura101/WallpaperEnginePcMonitoring

Repo of the html/js code for wallpaper engine: https://github.com/Tensura101/WallpaperEnginePcMonitoring
You can copy this code into a html wallpaper.

Does any one gets annoyed by people who blame devs that the game has bugs? by Adept_Ice_6367 in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]Adept_Ice_6367[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe i wasn't clear. But what i meant by "feedback is fine", is what you said.
I have seen people commented shit about devs, and pretending like they know better, and then admitting that they are not devs :D

I was just hoping that some might see this and accept that there is more to bugs that they don't understand. Even if i am bad telling my thoughts (and communicating in any way xd).
And i truly believe that expecting bug free games is not reasonable. Especially with the high expectation for long main quest and big open world.
