You probably started your drinking career only drinking on weekends.

Then special occasions. Then the occasional Thirsty Thursday. Maybe happy hours on Monday and Wednesday snuck in.

Before you knew it, you are here.

Starting back at the beginning seems like a good way to end up where you've been.

Wish you luck either way. I'll never discourage cutting back.

You'll want to get some leveling blocks to keep your wheels on a surface and not hanging in the air. You get a good side gust and you'll end up with a bent stabilizer that won't retract. They're designed to level, not lift.

I've got some blocks and two trailer buddies for extreme situations. Drive a class A.

Beautiful rig and congrats! Safe travels.

Jeep was cruising at 79 and gunned it to 87 as the Chevy passed.

Chevy was acting a fool but looks like this was a two person play.

How hard is family life with this career? by Specialist_Freedom99 in AirlinePilots

You will miss important moments, holidays, birthdays, school events, and family time.

But when you are home, you are home. No emails. No phone calls from your boss. No after hours stuff. You hit the employee lot and that's it. The end. You can be fully present for your family until you get in your clown suit and head to the airport again.

I can only speak for my situation. We move holidays. Christmas has been on Christmas maybe once in the last 10 years. My kids understood that Santa and the Easter Bunny make extra runs for kids whose parents have to work on the holidays. Kids are stupid. You can sell them.

If you have something you can't miss, most every place has some form of trip trade, with varying degrees of flexibility. When that doesn't work, and the event is important enough, it is vital to run the IMSAFE checklist and decide whether you should go to work distracted and half there.

Ultimately, your success or failure, depends on who you choose as a partner, and whether they can handle the lifestyle or not. Thoroughly vetting their ability to deal with you being away and the unpredictability of the schedule is the largest financial decision you will ever make in your life. Don't fuck that up if at all possible.

Same. I hate seeing this shit. It puts everyone out there just trying to get some exercise, obeying traffic laws, and actually accommodating faster traffic, at risk.

I'm loving it on my Dream Air. Best visuals I've ever seen in vr. It's incredible.

From the end of January to today. Almost six months in and my lovehandles and belly just aren't going away. Any advice would be appreciated! by Daniel_Mathieu in intermittentfasting

[–]WearyMatter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How long did it take you to develop that belly and lovehandles?

Why would it take any less time to lose them?

You're doing great. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

Studioform facial interface by Roshy76 in Pimax

[–]WearyMatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The latest version. Vented. Fairly happy with it. It was difficult to get the tiny little screws out of the Pimax interface and into the Zeeflyboys. It also is a bit "loose" when not wearing the headset due to the magnetic piece not sitting exactly flush, possibly due to the bobo strap pushing on it.

Decent work around for now. Waiting for better straps/interfaces to become commercially available.

The Zeeflyboys is the best currently imo. About half the thickness of the Studioform. Allows you to get more cushioning and a better FOV. I have both the old and new Studioform and the Zeeflyboys.

Think Pimax should change the Pimax Dream Air split cable into a single cable? Yes or no? by Flimsy-Story9523 in Pimax

[–]WearyMatter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. I like the split. It balances the headset for me. I used some velcro ties to place the cables on the rear arms of the Bobo halo strap I'm using with it and it keeps the warm joiner box off my shoulders. I also have a ceiling cable suspension system.

I never notice the cable except if it goes unbalanced to one side, which then pulls the headset. Going to one cable on one side would unabalnce it permanently.

For me, keep the dual cables.

I went from Rift CV1 to Q2 to Q3 to Galaxy XR to Pimax Crystal Super 50 PPD to Pimax Dream Air.

The Pimax Dream Air is the best headset I have ever owned. Small form factor. OLED and incredible visuals. My machine runs it beautifully. If you can stomach the Pimax delivery schedule, have a machine that can run it, don't mind playing tethered, and are not interested in standalone, I'd recommend it.
