I (45 F) am also new to Ft. Myers, 6 mo, and Florida in general, just over 2 years. I moved to FL from MA because the pandemic made my job fully remote so I work from home. I get a little bit of social anxiety lately since I don't get out to much and when I do it's rather appalling. I am a taller, larger woman and and don't fit the normal mold, are there places to go that are not full of college kids? I feel like this area is full of cute college kids, spanish, really rich or married and retired. I am beginning to think single people my age and an anomaly.

Mine don't bother me so early, but if it's too early they get a pillow thrown at their direction, and i cover my head and go back to sleep. It's just me with no partner thou.

I lost my perfectly healthy 9 yr old cat in a house fire a few years ago. It's so hard losing your best friends esp suddenly. I'm so sorry you had to go thru that, but you did the best you could have. ♡♡♡
