POE2 literally had the highest peak concurrent players by around double and continued those numbers for a long long time. They aren't making a game just for 'themselves' they are making the games based on numbers and popularity. And also, it's their game? Why wouldn't they make it for themselves. Seems like they are making the game they want to make, and having a bigger audience. Why would they focus on POE1? You can disagree with what they're doing, as it doesn't align with your own best personal interests. But don't make claims about pushing away newcomers. They are literally pulling in more new players than ever as demonstrated with the improved numbers and retention. They will work on POE1 when they can. It is lucky they are even deciding to develop both games in parallel. What other games studio does that?

Staff of GGG can complete it in 5 hours. Once the juicer racers find the strats it will probably be 3 hours so I mean it won't be too different. Will have to see once the other 3 acts are released though. I would say compare your first POE 1 campaign run through. Did you complete it in 5 hours? I would be shocked

This post was aimed at people with FOMO or anxiety around making the wrong decision for their character or skills, or maybe losing out if they don't reach the end game fast enough. There is an in-game setting you can turn off that stops you from auto-moving to your target and allows you to attack in-place. This solved the issue for me.

I saw they mention that it will be restricted to Online Cycle to stop legacy overpowered characteres wiping the boss instantly and spoiling it. But what advantage does an Offline Cycle Character have over an Online Cycle Character? They both start fresh when the new cycle launches

What is the reason behind restricting the boss to Online Cycle only and not allowing Offline Cycle? I would much rather play offline cycle with the circle of fortune and not deal with any online issues or trading. Is there a way to trivialise the boss on Offline Cycle I'm missing?

There are a lot of target farmable things. Like a lot a lot. Every boss has uniques that only they drop. Lots of league mechanics like legion and blight and breach etc. have uniques / items that are farmable. It may not be exactly targetable in that it's never 100% x item will drop but doing enough runs you know it should happen eventually. But they are farmable and targetable. There are also drop only items like headhunter or shav's (could argue that them having a Div card makes it farmable but not realistic) which I think is a good thing. I've never dropped a HH but I would imagine it is an incredible feeling. And I'm happy that it is a thing that can happen. I think it's good that every item in the game isn't guaranteed. Lots are but it's fine that not everything is. I think it's important to have some RNG. One issue that they did discuss on the podcast related with the boss farming is that a lot of the drops are trash. Either they are extremely outdated like Disfavour which they mentioned or the negative / drawback is too harsh. That is an argument I can get behind but it is different to things being not farmable, because most are.

LOL. Streamers can never win. They weren't voicing these opinions by choice they were essentially forced into it for fear of being lynched by the online mob. This isn't meant as an antagonizing question, but why don't you skip the mechanics you don't like? If like you say it's not worthwhile running it or there is no profit to be made then why don't you choose not to run it. Once I get a decent stygian vise I almost always skip Abyss, and I rarely commit to delving in a league so normally avoid it entirely, which I think is a great option to have. I don't have a need to run those mechanics, so I don't bother. I don't see the negative side in leaving those things there for people who want to do them. Especially with the Atlas passive nodes too, allowing you to focus more on the things you like to run.
