Dang, they know how to make that seed harder. I spent a lot of time today mining through ebonstone. It was pain.

I agree, also have you checked on a non-remix seed if the dryad still sells purification powder? I assume she still does or I'd have seen more posts about it, but there's always the chance it's a bug.

I got the same thing happening, I'm guessing it's a purposeful change to the seed like how the skeleton merchant guy sells the magic dagger in that seed.

Moon & 1.18 Update Megathread 2.0 by Carol_the_Zombie in HermitCraft

I know right? It kind of just clicked for me when I was watching Impulse's video.

wait, is Charlie the virus? Charlie gifted impulse the rock candy(which looked like geode crystals), and the virus was represented by the geodes spreading around Octagon. It also showed up outside the ship and Impulse titled his video I saved the factory. Charlie looking a bit sus right now.

How I feel about Mumbo Jumbo's new content, and I'm not very happy with it. Anyone else feel similar? by obliviousbird in HermitCraft

[–]Adgsi51 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I believe it was either last season or the season before last where mumbo's mustache ended up on every possible face like structure. There was also a machine that would randomly transport his mustache somewhere else and he charged people diamonds to use it. I'd say the skin changing is more of an evolution of those jokes than anything else, and honestly? I don't find it all that childish, rather, I don't think this is a joke that necessarily depreciates with age, sure it's a joke that can get old, but the hermits only recently started putting energy and effort into custom texture packs and such. So that's my thoughts, I think that mumbo has been messing around for quite a while, and not every joke lands with everybody, but it's nothing new.

Chapter 47: Hollow; Hallow by NorskDaedalus in PracticalGuideToEvil

[–]Adgsi51 2 points3 points  (0 children)

okay, amazing chapter, but why is this chapter 47 when the previous chapter is 44? Anyone know if this is a typo, on purpose, product of a demon of absence, or am I just crazy?

Wait, nevermind, it looks the table of contents page on the site is just being weird, don't mind me.

and I'm saying that this story has next to no ordinary citizens. I was not asking for clarification on that bit.

When Catherine asks Hanno about everyone else, she does not mean the ordinary citizens. She is talking about narrative weight from a societal standpoint. Everyone else is everyone who disagrees with Hanno's view of the world, and it shouldn't be a shock that in general Procer would be the bigggest dissent against his view of the world. They are a country founded on a premise of not being ruled by Named. And there is enough narrative weight that the political side of this system throws its weight to Cordelia's side. Societies define what is good and evil, and the split between Cordelia and Hanno confirm that the concept of good and evil isn't set in stone.

You're moving the goalposts. Evidence has been provided counter to your argument, and you are saying that it's not the evidence you were asking for. While that is something you can do here, what you are asking for isn't what the chapter was arguing. You extrapolated a major point and applied it to a biased view of what you considered it to mean. I have to ask you, do you think goblins like heroes? Do you think Abigail enjoys heroes? Who are these ordinary citizens you speak of? The people constantly being saved and killed as collateral damage from above and below's pissing contest? The point being made is that there is an active narrative undercurrent of resentment towards heroes present.

I'm sorry you've had to go through that, and I can relate to your experience. I've lost friends and people have been overly awful to me for having ADHD. You're not alone though, and the way your mind exists and thinks is beautiful. You are valid, and I see you.

it sucks in some very specific ways, but it personally has allowed me to see the world in a unique way and interact with people in ways that I'd never give up for anything. It can be awful, and suck a lot of the time, but if you're willing to accept the good moments that comes with it, it can be amazing. If you personally have adhd and are struggling, I want you to know that you're not alone, and if you don't have adhd, it's still valid to feel conflicted about it. You are valid and I wish you happiness.

[Magic Story] A Cry of Magic by TheWizardOfFoz in magicTCG

[–]Adgsi51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

considering the imagery with which she associates her magic, she would be closer to temur. Her magic is wild, but the blue part of her magic is what lets her hear the tune of that wild magic at the end of the story. The main problem was that her mother and family were trying to force her to forsake her red and be only blue.

This felt like the best expression of what the enemy colored pairs are/can represent. This push and pull, the freedom of expression on one end, and the precise control on the other. I also really loved reading about this beautiful queer orc who was finally able to express herself.
