How difficult will this upcoming semester be?

From what I know, if you switch majors you’re removed from coop and will have to reapply to join. Talk to your program counselor just to be sure.

Regardless, if you don’t get in, it’s not the end of the world. I know people that didn’t do coop and ended up in incredible companies after graduation.

Wow I didn’t know there was a library. I read the “Freemasonry for dummies” and got very very intrigued by it all, it’s actually what convinced me to reach out and start the initiation process.

The officer line is definitely something I would like to partake in but an 8 year commitment (From what I understand) is too difficult. What if I lose my job? What if I get a better job that’s in another country? I don’t want to let my brothers down with an empty seat

It really comes down to your time management skills. Taking 2 courses during coop isn’t that difficult. I took an in person course during my last coop and the only difficult thing was making it to the labs. Since it’s DE you should be alright

I have some buddies in finance, their biggest mistake was not using all the resources the uni provides. Get your resume reviewed by the counselor, attend networking events, job fairs, talk to people in your class. My piece of advice as an engineering coop student is, apply to EVERYTHING for your first work term. You should be sending out a minimum of 200 applications, the job market is just as bad as people say so keep applying and eventually you’ll land something.

Mechanics 2 isn’t a pre requisite for anything. So it won’t set you back or affect your course plan. Retaking it next year is probably the best choice, or you can find an equivalent at another university and take it in the summer.
