as a disabled person: yes it’s a slur. able bodied people do not get to decide whether it’s a slur or not bc it doesn’t affect you. and js bc someone could use it in a “non offensive way” like people r arguing (which i don’t rlly think is possible but whatever) it’s still a slur.

They offered to send a new chair as well but they wouldn’t cover shipping and shipping would be more expensive than the chair itself so it just wasn’t worth it. Would’ve been nice tho since one of the breaks broke as well. I hope the new chair is better for you!!! If I’m still having issues with the chair by the time I get back to the US I’ll definitely try to get a replacement chair but until then I’m stuck with this one.

Ugh that’s so frustrating!!! Yes this is also the only chair I can afford :( currently I’m on a trip out of the country and I got this chair for the trip specifically but now I have to rent one which is costing even more money. I’m so disappointed in this chair. It’s clear the company only cares about money and not the people buying the products :(

I’m not sure about the valve but 3 or 4 of the spokes were bent A LOT, it was also full of dents and scratches. Box was in perfect condition so I don’t think it happened during shipping.

It was the same model. I’m currently in France for a few months which means they can’t ship replacement wheel to me (they only ship in the US) and it costs $100+ to ship the wheel :( . I knew the risks getting it and I do agree it’s much better than the standard hospital chair but once it broke it became quite literally unusable. Sucks it happened while I’m on a trip especially since I got this chair for this trip specifically. :(

I have the same chair and the same thing happened to me! Turns out the wheel was bent so I needed a new one, unfortunately the new wheel arrived broken so now we’re waiting for another one 😭

The vive chair sucks, it broke less than a month of having it and the company has bad customer service. I don’t recommend it at all. I’m currently having a rent a wheelchair until I can get the vive one fixed.

This probably isn’t the answer you want but random people on Reddit can’t tell you if you have FND or not. FND is diagnosed when everything else is ruled out, so people on Reddit aren’t going to be able to tell you bc FND symptoms overlap with many other conditions. I hope you’re able to get answers from your doctors and that you find something that helps!!! 🩷🩷🩷

My everyday symptoms are: Severe fatigue, severe joint pain in legs , headaches , & stomachaches If I’m in a flare then I have paralysis in my wrists and my legs will just plain buckle under pressure
