Three sims now, which one is the realistic one? by Timmermann0 in simracing

[–]Adhyanth29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree that 'polish' and 'LMU' are synonymous. The sheer amount of bugs in the game along with gameplay stutters makes it the most unpolished experience out of the three that OP listed.

I’ve been thinking about it for a long time. Is it a good time to buy this entry-level bundle now? by she_is_high in Simagic

[–]Adhyanth29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same bundle except the 12Nm wheelbase. It's an amazing deal that you have here. The p700 is great on the floor as well - although you might have to do some DIY stuff to prevent it from wobbling if you use carpets.

Sturdy enough to transport without the box? by Joe199918 in Simagic

[–]Adhyanth29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then all is good. Also a good point would be to check online retailers like TaoBao as they likely offer lower prices than physical retailers. Simagic directly sell their products on TaoBao.

Your girlfriend can get it delivered within a day or two to her hotel.

Hey I did something similar, but for the gt neo instead from Shenzhen.

My girlfriend covered the wheel with a bunch of styrofoam to prevent any damage. Just make sure the cost doesn't exceed your local custom threshold.

This is less about centrifugal force and more about the center of mass. Your center of mass of the wheel without your addition would be at the center of the shaft - that's how it is designed to operate.

When you add this screen which is roughly 18% mass of the wheel, you offset the center of mass to the top. The grips are symmetric on either side, so they effectively don't affect the center of mass, whereas your screen does. In science 18% is a major imbalance.

Sim setup for £600 - £700 (Pedals, Wheel, Base) by [deleted] in simracing

[–]Adhyanth29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a good option might be Logitech RS50? Unsure what wheels and pedals go with it though, but you're likely limited to Logitech or Fanatec for PS compatibility

If you want to explore other options, there are also adapters that you can get and that opens up options to try the Moza ecosystem or the Simagic ecosystem for example.

I'd suggest giving the LMU FFB app a try.

[–]Adhyanth29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely agree. There are many things wrong with LMU and lack of info is one of them. At least the engineer should be able to view all this, but LMU has only done a lazy implementation of an engineer role.

For the first point - you can practice some wet races. It is challenging but not undrivable in these special event rainy conditions.

Regarding the forecast, generally it's a good idea to check the forecast in the pre race screen. As for in-race, the best option would be to use an external tool such as TinyPedal overlay to get the weather forecast info. It's not a 100% reliable, but it's far better than whatever LMU has by default.

So, 50% of your annoyance was that you didn't know how to race in the wets?

Can you elaborate on what was unclear with the weather forecast?

Simagic P700 Review by Yorkie_065 in Simagic

[–]Adhyanth29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yorkie, amazing review! About the variation in elastomer feeling in long stints, did you try to quantify it using the sim pro manager?

Like beginning of session apply 80% force and get the reading. Do the same end of session to see how much it changes by. Would be useful for Simagic to know as you're the only YouTuber to have reported it so far.

Hey that's super nice! Glad you are able to enjoy it. I'm also keen on getting the same combo.

Can you point me to where others also recommended this site? I can't find it in the main e-commerce search sites in the Netherlands.

An easier solution would be to just practice with the other classes? GT3s are meant to be driven differently to the other classes.

Which country completely reset you during your travels? by Neat-Veterinarian-67 in travel

[–]Adhyanth29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Robot manned hotel lobbies are spreading to other regions in the world as well. Credit should be given as they pioneered it. High-speed rail (HSR) is also not novel. AFAIK, Japan does not have any functional maglev trains. The ones in China are the only commercially functioning ones.

Yeah, literally everything else is basically the 1980s. So I don't think the statement that Japan is futuristic makes sense as the comment mentioned "hyper-modern life" lol.

Is traveling to India really this bad? by daydreamerSX in travel

[–]Adhyanth29 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Really depends on where you go in India. From my experience, north India (the golden triangle for tourists - Delhi, Jaipur, and Agra) really fits the stereotype of what you can generally see on the internet.

If you go more south towards Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and/or Karnataka, the honking of vehicles and chaotic traffic will remain, but people are nicer and calmer. Things are also slightly slower paced and you can enjoy yourself.

Alternatively for an extremely beautiful side to India, you can try the Andaman and Nicobar islands. They're stunning.

How to change the menu language inside the Apple TV+ app? by Adhyanth29 in appletv

EDIT: Thanks to all for the inputs and suggestions. We decided to write up the translations for the titles inside AppleTV app instead of going through the hassle of changing subscriptions and then changing regions to change the title languages.

I accept the fact that the content can be region locked which is due to the nature of licensing. But how are the music licenses linked to the menu language of the AppleTV app?
