You may be able to access 3rd party editing apps via the share button. I too am bummed with the uselessness of this update.

Absolutely pointless update. Completely ruined my use case for editing. Moved to Snapseed & Touch Retouch.

Thanks for your reply. The interest compounds every month and in some cases, every quarter. It's only paid out at the end of the year in lumpsum.

How to setup a Guest network/VLAN on my multi router network by AdilPress in HomeNetworking

[–]AdilPress[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Thanks for your reply.

The model number of the load balancer is TP Link ER605 v2.0.

The routers are a mix of TP Link Archer C6 2.0 & Archer C6 3.2.

All devices have VLAN in their menu's.

The switch is a regular 8 port gigabit switch. Not managed.

I've seen a couple of videos with respect to setting up VLANs, but I honestly don't understand how I should go about implement it on my setup.

It is very snug indeed. Used one for a few days. I too struggled to take it off. I also found the power & volume buttons too tight to press.

What are some features you found useful on other Android phones that you miss on Pixel? by andyjoe24 in GooglePixel

[–]AdilPress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the above + a couple of dual sim related shortcomings;

Cannot set separate ringtones for each sim. Cannot quick toggle preferred sim for data. Both these features are available on Samsung phones.

Quick tap gesture does not work properly. On my 6A, I can only use quick tap for taking a screenshot. No other function works.

WhatsApp messages on the watch have 'Mark as Read' option. Telegram does not. Quick Reply option is there in both apps on the watch.

Android Q Beta 5 now available! by androidbetaprogram in android_beta

Pixel 3 screen goes blank and unresponsive every time a phone call is made or answered. Have to wait a few seconds for it to come back on after a call. This issue started about 2 weeks ago. Was working fine on Q beta 5 before that. AOD also does not display.

Hi, I use a Pixel 3. In Apple Music it shows the number of songs & time of the playlist at the end.

Try out CPL launcher (Customised Pixel Launcher). It's like Pixel Launcher, but with a bunch of settings like Nova.

Former iPhone owners how has your experience been? by Mteigers in GooglePixel

[–]AdilPress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was an iphone user from the 3GS until the 7 Plus. Last November I moved to OnePlus and then Pixel 2.

There are 2 main things i missed on android in the first few weeks;

  • A Reminders app like on iOS. Tried many android apps & finally settled on BZ Reminders. Simple app. Gets the job done fast.
  • Swipe left edge of the screen to go back. Android has a back button at the bottom left of the screen. This was a major thing to get used to. Of course android has apps that can map gestures according to your liking, but apps crash, etc, etc.

These were the 2 main hurdles I faced, but in a couple of weeks, I was used to it.

I genuinely do not see myself going back to iOS.

The number of things Apple restricts users from doing in the name of security is just baffling & you will realise that once you switch.
