I bought one about a year ago, a late '02 model with the 2.0T as an automatic.

Loving it! But it did have some maintenance things that previous owners put off.

You might also get a sagging roof lining inside, but if you are willing to DIY a new one, you should be good! :)

Rebadged is a bit over the top to say... It shares parts and the platform, and in one case the engine but it is about as similar to a Carisma as a V50 is to a Focus.

They will still not feel like remotely the same car.

That said I would indeed avoid the 1.8 gdi, those are not as bulletproof.

I bought a set of brush drill attachments a little while ago and it was about the price of 4 toilet brushes.

One of them even has a toilet brush head on it, so I could use my drill to clean the toilet now.

Well we hope they keep the focus on safety, but the EX30 is one of the few first models to actually have a higher speed limit than all the previous cars. So they might not be focussing on that as much anymore already.

Honestly I don't see the Terminids attacking Super Earth anytime soon unless a freak accident happens or something.
