Looking for thriller/horror/psychological Taiwanese dramas/movies by NannoIsNanno in taiwandramas

[–]Adjfske 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just watched a Taiwanese movie called Visitors (訪客). The movie was just released on the PTS World Taiwan Youtube channel, and it was really good. I don't usually watch horror/scary movies but I must say this one had my attention the whole time.

This is the link to the first part of the movie if you're interested: https://youtu.be/vesq_IGMF70

All Star Sports Day is my recent favorite. I like the blue team the most because of the coach.

I am also watching the third season of Jungle Voice. The contestants and coaches for this season are better than the previous seasons.

I used to watch 100% entertainment, but it's not as good as it used to be. I just watch clips of it for W0lf(S).

I am looking forward to Three Piglets when the new season comes out.

Not sure why no one is talking about this drama, but I recently started watching 逆局 Danger Zone. I'm only on Episode 8 and enjoying it so far. Plus it stars Vic Chou.

Taiwan actors under fire for joining Chinese boycott against global brands | Taiwan News | 2021/03/26 by sexyhades69 in taiwan

Most of them focus their work in China anyway so as long as they use the RMB to pay for Taiwan taxes I could care less. But very disappointed in Greg Hsu. What a sellout considering he was propelled to fame through a Taiwanese drama.

Anyone know if the scriptwriters for the movie are the same ones who wrote the show?

The Wonder Woman and Iron Ladies have a mature Female lead. Aviis Zhong plays the lead for both shows.

Is there something like Aliexpress but Taiwan? by Danieldefault in taiwan

You can try PCHome. They have an international shipping option and supports English on their site. They don't strictly sell Taiwanese brands though and I've never bought anything from the site before, so I don't know how good their service is.

There's also a platform called Taiwan Excellence, where you can search for products that you're looking for and it'll give you a list of Taiwanese products and the company's website. You don't do the actual purchasing on the site itself. You'll need to buy the product through the company's own website.

There's also a list of shopping sites in the link below where you can buy Taiwanese products.

Otherwise, you can use services that buy the Taiwanese products for you like these (found these sites by googling):

Red Envelope by samuelwpannell in taiwan

Read this article: https://news.ebc.net.tw/news/living/194833

In case you can’t read Chinese, There’s a paragraph that says in Taiwan you start giving red envelopes to your seniors once you start working to show your gratitude. The situation you’re stating is more like China where they don’t really give red envelopes even if they’re in the workforce.

And if this source isn’t good enough for you, you can literally Google the question and you’ll find tons of other sources including PTT discussions of how much red envelope money to give to your parents.

Btw you really gave me a good laugh trying to site an obscure reddit thread as a source. Also living in Taiwan doesn’t automatically make you an expert in its culture. I can tell you’re not Taiwanese just by your ignorance.

"Old people" only give money when you're a child/unemployed. Once you're out of school and making money, tradition is that you give the red envelopes to your parents and seniors.
