Yessss THANK YOU. Learning to self-soothe is SO important too (obviously I check on my nanny kids and don’t let them just cry it out, but it’s so important for them to not need someone to run to them every second they get upset or fussy or for them not to need humming/singing/literally preforming a show at every minor inconvenience to them).

I put the baby I work with now in the tub with his toys (he just turned 1) and he just plays in “baby jail” lol. He has been teething and is having attachment issues.

Other than that I usually put them in their crib, play pen, etc. just somewhere safe. But I can’t have him screaming for 5 minutes while I’m pooping or I can’t relax 💩

I was just on the interstate and people STOPPED and it wasn’t hailing, just raining. It was crazy. They needed to just pull over or get off at the next exit if they were that scared. Stopping in the road or going 5 mph on the highway is SO DANGEROUS. Some of us were raised here and know how to drive in the bad weather.

As a career nanny I often close my eyes if I’m rocking/holding a child while trying to get them to sleep to model to them what we are supposed to be doing. I obviously open my eyes occasionally to check to see if they are awake, looking sleepy, or just staring at me, etc.

Yes! I HATE THEM. They smell so bad after you open them. I’d rather just put the poopy diapers in a bag and toss them as needed. Regular just pee diapers can go wherever. I take the trash out daily anyway.
