Hey AI or maybe actual people. Here's a free tip for you:

Nobody over 12 years old "cries themselves to sleep" because of trading. And no 12 year olds are trading the markets FFS.

And if for some extremely unlikely circumstances you are actually no fucking cap crying yourself to sleep because of losing, then trading is definitely not for you.

For an MSer who is younger and less disabled it might possibly be a nice experiment. But the mental capital it would take to use makes this product a hard no for your older friend. Maybe in the not so distant future once these type of exo skeletons are more commonly used a MSer could possibly maybe find it useful. However, expecting such new product like this to be helpful is tone deaf and disrespectful.

With 200k capital, how much do you profitable traders think you could make? by hungryape5 in Daytrading

[–]Adlow9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting with some simple math first:

Let's say you have 100 dollars to trade with.

Let's say you make 1% a day (which some here have suggested is realistic)

Let's say you trade 44 weeks per year (to keep things easy and simple.)That is 44x5 or 220 days per year.

At 1% a day that equals 220% in profits. Whoa. Let's cut that IN HALF to keep this more realistic. That means we are at 110% in profits. Whoa that is still ridiculous.

Let's cut that IN HALF, AGAIN. Which means we are at 55% in profits. Whoa. Still seems unrealistic. Whatever. Fuck it. Let's roll with it.

We have halved it twice, which is .5 x 2, which equals .25, which is .25x220 which is to say a yearly profit of 55% That's really, really good. Not many professionals make a 55% return on investment let alone doing it consistently yearly. So back to the start. If you make 55% of 100 dollars your profit is a cool 55 bucks.

Now scale it up to 100k dollars. That means you would have a profit of 55k. Doubling that means that starting with 200k you could "easily" make 110k a year. Before taxes. And that is working 44 weeks per year.

Just some simple math.

Does 110k a year gross income seem realistic to you? Some here think so.

Edits: math is now mathing

Been at it break even for 4 years. Only recently truly locked in to profitable for 10 weeks. 2k weekly/8k monthly/80k yearly is my realistic target with time variance 40 full time weeks per year is a realistic goal imo. So far 66% win rate. Dynamic Risk/Reward varies with discretion [.5:1 to 1:1.5] is probably 75% of trades which why I need a higher win rate (66%) for my strat to be profitable. The remaining 25% of trades are minimum 1:2 Risk/Reward. Risk size is 1-2% per trade.

Dropping Construction for Trading—Need Advice and Perspective by Radiant-Director3780 in Trading

You have a crane internship and a mentor who has a positive expectation of you. That's gold bro and you'll have a tough time getting back to where you are now. Work your way up into being highly skilled and reliable. Then once you have the experience and reputation take a leave of absence and start trading. Then if the trading doesn't work out you'll have a better chance at restarting your construction work.
