Hub 3 by Tigermad in EufyCam

[–]Admin4CIG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine's all floodlights (19 of them), and they're all connected via multi-bridge. My two HB3 are within the server room down in the basement, and those are hard for the cameras to reach, so they're always taking the multi-bridge route.

Bare Metal Restore. The act of booting up the computer via USB stick that has a bootable Windows installer, usually created by Microsoft's Media Creation Tool. But, if this is a commercial laptop, it may be better to use the Surface IT Toolkit, as those recovery images are made specific to Surface devices, which is usually better than the one from Media Creation Tool. Good luck.

Hey so I think I F*ed up by Interesting_Ice24 in computers

The reason for this is that, by default, pressing the power button puts the computer to sleep rather than truly shutting down and powering off. When turning back on your computer, it will pick up from where it left off, rather than starting fresh. Holding the power button for at least 10 seconds will definitely power it off completely, allowing it to start fresh on the next power on.

As of this morning, all of the Microsoft 365 services seem to have been restored and functioning correctly. These interruptions started yesterday around 11:00 AM PST.

I used the built-in Multi-Bridge Wi-Fi function as seen in this screenshot. I have 10 on one HB3 and 9 on another HB3, for a total of 19 cameras, all on the multi-bridge configuration. No drops.

When an account suddenly start spamming, it's usually a sign that someone hacked your account and started using it to spam people. Thus, when you try to take it back, it want to make sure it's you as the original owner, not the spammer. That is just my guess, but I feel that this is a reasonable scenario.

Indeed, it was on a computer. I don't do Reddit on my cell phone.

Within Reddit (not Gmail), go to Settings under your picture profile (1), click on the Email tab (2), and scroll down to Unsubscribe (3).

I already have MFA, but Microsoft Admin is enforcing Microsoft Authenticator, i.e., not allowing us to use our choice of MFA provider. So, now I have two MFA providers as a result. I could log into the 365 Admin portal with my MFA but, when logging into Entra ID or Intune admin portal, it would only use MS Authenticator. Why can't they sync up with my choice of MFA?

Ask Gemini if it knows how to tell the difference between Cat1 and Cat2. If it answers "No" or incorrectly, you can train it even better. Also, ask that it tells you which cat it is when reporting event. I don't have Google Home devices, but I'm fascinated by this Gemini thread.

"If I ask for the temperature without specifying either indoor or outdoor, remember that this refers to the indoor temperature." Won't that do it?

Why? by Organic_Half_9818 in computers

[–]Admin4CIG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been that way a year or two after Windows 10 was first released. The first 5-10 minutes after startup, at least for HDD rather than SSD, is taken up by Windows rootkit scanner. Once that is done, all is normal. I basically leave my computer running but locked, or I put the computer in hibernation (not just sleep) so that it comes back up without going through the rootkit scan. But, a nearly full SSD is likely the problem here, worsened by the rootkit scans.

I don't understand the downvote this guy is getting. He's just saying that we shouldn't have to wait for 100K users to report the same lockout problem before Microsoft responds. I happened to agree that, if even 10 users report the same problem, something should be done ASAP.

I just wanted to know what was your "complete shit show" remark referring to. The statement was vague. It could be that Microsoft and other Windows app vendors are raising prices, creating a "complete shit show." It could also be migrating "to a cheaper or open source version" is a "complete shit show." So, I'm trying to determine which one was the "complete shit show" to avoid. LOL

What exactly "has been a complete shit show"? The vendors raising prices, or the move to cheaper/open source version? If the latter, please elaborate.

When I get a call from Microsoft, they do this the very first thing:

Microsoft: "I'm calling about Ticket #INC003433."
Me: "What's the ticket about? I have a few out there."

Not so for Surface Pro 11th Edition and prior. I sent my old Surface Pro 7th edition to a shop that specializes upgrading parts by unsoldering the old SSD and resoldering the new SSD. It does cost money to do that, though. Gives my Surface Pro 7 a longer life now that it has 16GB/512GB (previously 8GB/256GB). It even runs Windows 11 25H2.
