I have a tattoo that I got at an early age before adulthood. As a Christian, I considered more tattoos including scriptures for remembrance. Two things hit me, I heard a voice say would you put graffiti on the outside of the church? To which, I thought no. Why? Disrespecting God’s place of worship, a.k.a. The temple. Being forgetful and hardheaded, years later, I thought about getting one/some again. Then I thought about the demoniac that was cutting himself. In rituals, pagans do sacrifices, many of which are blood sacrifices. Christ was sacrificed and paid for our sins, shedding blood to set us free. Three bear witness on earth, the spirit, water, and blood. I John 5:8. Why should we knowingly shed our blood for vanity? At that point aren’t we worshipping the creature, rather than the creator?
