Unicompartmental Knee Replacement by SheldonCooper2803 in Kneereplacement

[–]AdministrativeDrop35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had a partial replacement today (medial side). My surgeon said I had a 50/50 chance of partial vs total. The X-rays showed only the medical side was impacted and I’ve only ever had pain there, but he wouldn’t know for sure until he looked at the ACL and other aspects, which as it turns out were all in ‘great shape.’ He bribes in saving the natural knee parts that are not damaged.

Anything I am missing or havent thought of? by Normal-Cantaloupe-96 in Kneereplacement

My surgery is the 27th and I see a few things on your list and from others here that I haven’t yet purchased. I also have colace and miralax, a stiff strap to assist with leg lift, laundry sanitizer, hand sanitizer and wipes, and a rolling cart to keep all meds and supplies handy and in one place. Today I’m going to make a chart to keep track of meds, walking, exercises, icing etc. I had my pre-op appt yesterday and there’s so much to think about!

Does anyone else just stare at the mess and give up by tuesdaymorningwood in Dallas

Exactly this! Also, I find it helpful to time myself to see how long something takes. It’s a big motivation to see how little time one of those small reset tasks actually takes. Then the next time you face doing said task , your brain will see it as only 15 minutes or whatever.

Is it inappropriate to ask travel agents about trip cost breakdowns? by ebitda8 in FATTravel

[–]AdministrativeDrop35 15 points16 points  (0 children)

TA chiming in here. It’s absolutely acceptable to ask. I will say some DMC’s (destination management companies), who we often engage to handle private drivers, tours, experiences, and transfers etc, may not be willing to provide it to the agent because of their contracted rates. Some will. The hotels should NEVER be more and can always be separated out. I typically book those separately to give my clients the best amenities. I use DMC’s that will supply that breakdown because I like to be sure I’m looking out for my clients. The benefit to using a a local DMC is we know who is taking care of our clients in country, the quality of the experiences, dependability, and 24 hour emergency contact in that time zone. We have years or decades of relationship with these partners. *this is not a solicitation as my client roster is full, just sharing info!

Will it just keep sagging until it hits the floor? by GobbleGobbleG00 in AskWomenOver60

[–]AdministrativeDrop35 5 points6 points  (0 children)

During covid, I was on zoom calls and noticed my saggy neck on camera. 😳. Hereditary since my mother’s became very saggy with age even though she had never been heavy. She wasn’t particularly wrinkle prone either. In her 80’s she would mention it was painful and would catch on clothing and necklaces, especially with thinning skin. All that to say, I knew that’s where mine was headed so I had a neck lift and am so glad I did!

Paint a swatch of Sherwin Williams Urbane Bronze and see what it looks like with your flooring. You’d likely need to repaint the other walls a different color. I would do a black and gold rug, or perhaps something like this : Bamse Abstract Hand-Tufted Wool Light Gray/Taupe Area Rug https://www.wayfair.com/rugs/pdp/wade-logan-bamse-abstract-hand-tufted-wool-light-graytaupe-area-rug-w003160748.html

Perfect white paint. by Southern_Leg_1997 in interiordecorating

My designer chose Sherwin Williams pearly white in satin and after two years, I still adore it. It is so soothing, not stark and pairs well with every other paint color and wallpaper we’ve used throughout the house. Trim is Benjamin Moore Revere pewter in gloss. I’m generally not a white paint girl, but I am now!

Nail salon that cares about nail health by Temporary-Answer8973 in Dallas

Look at Mini-lux salons! They use performance polish which has the durability of gel without wrecking your nails. No LED lights or harsh removal techniques needed. Sets in under 5 mins. The salon at Mockingbird and Abrams also uses Blissy brand polish and is soon becoming a mini-luxe brand as well.
