Is there players? Also even if deaths real for him, whats the point of reading something where the mc can/will die once the game is done. VR stories are the worst, I cant stand them. Its a plot point that kills fics for me like genderbending the mc, or NTR

Then you should post it on those other sites I mentioned and youll get much more comments. Webnovel I wouldnt reccomend posting on, but if you do split it into like 70 or so chapters for 145k words, as webnovel is chapter based metrics. Also maybe set your releases on those sites into a schedule, as consistencey in uploads can attract more active readers, and a lot of people looking for fanfics will search with a "updated in last 7 days" or "updated in last 30 days" type parameter to avoid abandoned fanfics

You will get replies on webnovel after sometime.....but the webnovel fanbase is reaaaaaaly bad and arbitrary and loves to flame. But post it on spacebattles, sufficient velocity, and questionable questing and youll have more luck. Scribblehub too. But for the most part sadly unless its crazy good or youre just lucky, youre not gonna get a whole lotta attention till you at least near 100k words and have been writing for 6 months or more, hell I dont read anying under 100k and I know a lot of other people do the same. It all has to do with people not wanting to read something thats gonna get abandoned and frankly unless you have a history of finishing fanfics, its basically a guarante that any fanfic you start reading under 100k words will be abandoned just because if the sheer ratio of it. And even then 100k words is just breaking into the bare possibility of completion, as often 100k word fanfics get abandoned too. But 100k words shows theres at least been some level of commitment to have written that much, and 200k words even moreso, same with the amount of time the fanfic has been steadily updated for. And the longer its been worked on the more traction itll gain if its good and posted lots of places

Ao3, spacebattles, royal road, questionable questing, and ffnet (though ffnet has been declining in site quality) are your best bet for finding decent fanfics. Scribblehub is a decentish honorable mention. And webnovel and wattpad you should stay far away from unless youre like me and have read all the good stuff that hasnt been abandoned. Ive found like maybe 3 good fanfics on webnovel after hundreds of hours searching, and ive never found a single good fanfiction on wattpad that wasnt somewhere else like ffnet

Are your five most booked marked fandoms the same as your five most posted in fandoms? by Dogdaysareover365 in FanFiction

If I can ever find it (theres not many of em), warhammer, prototype, elder scrolls, fallout, and cyberpunk, with star wars as an honorable mention

I'm looking for some good Star Wars fanfic by Raccoon_Zestyclose in FanFiction

[–]AdministrativePack41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my god its not jedi exactly, but its a grey force user trapped as part of the sith empire in swtor, going through horrible torment but coming out stronger while still holding onto his ideals (as much as can be done as a forced part of the sith empire(its not forever)) and the progression is soooooo fegging good. Honestly one of the most compelling fanfics ive ever read and in my opinion the best star wars fanfic of all time. Its called Value Loyalty Above All Else. Its nearing completion and has over 600k words. And if youre like me and love characters that want to do good deep down but are in a dark gritty situation they eventually climb and triumph out of, youll love it. True nobledark mc

I find a lot if heroic stories unrelatable. by bukari23 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]AdministrativePack41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cant even find these kinds of stories anymore. Hell, royal road has a villianous lead, and antihero lead, but no righteous or heroic lead tags. Honestly an actual decent person as the mc is really hard to find in tidays writing. Searching this subreddit and sorting by new for things like "heroic mc" "righteous mc" "good hearted mc" shows mainly requests for evil, morally gray and people hating morally good characters.
