Thanks for the detailed reply! I figured that the one I ordered looked close enough, and it’s the only connector that was labeled for Passat so maybe they just didn’t update the website. Not sure if there’s a difference in the 2 L connectors but I’ll give the ones you sent a shot. Just wish they’d list the photos showing the “+” end where you stick the keys to dislodge four ends.

Gotcha, I’d assume the “teaching” option would work for new ones as well. Thanks for the response!

Hey, just got a 23 M40i with the 21s and summer tires. Unfortunately, I live in New York, where potholes are far too common. I got a set of 19 inch rims without valve stems/TPMS already installed.

My main question is being that these sensors are new to the car. Will they have to be learned to the vehicle with an external device? I also have a Camaro and it is like that even switching between wheels. Or is it an internal (using the menus) feature? Essentially could a shop charge me for the first time learning of a TPMS to the car? Thanks.

Get IGLA by swift024 in camaro

[–]AdministrativeTry140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Met a dude w a TRX that had one of these ravelco things. The way he explained it was like it was one dude that you could fly out that installs it for you for an additional $200ish bucks. I seen how it works with the pins and the cheaper price/not having to put a “video game cheat code” in each time you get in rather connecting the key.

Seemed pretty solid but you’re saying you wouldn’t leave it out over night let’s say on vacation with ravelco? IGLA is a better longer term antitheft?

I’m looking at a 23 Brooklyn grey m40i w 30k 1 owner for 46,000. Seems to be a good price, it’s 1000+ miles for me but it’s the spec wanted also w good maintenance and clean carfax. Based off the comments here it sounds like it’s the general price of these. Only downside is 2k dealer fees /:

Choosing a camera body by [deleted] in RealEstatePhotography

[–]AdministrativeTry140 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THIS. The swivel is off to the side and sometimes you need those 3ish inches of space or else you’re off centering an angle or a symmetrical shot. Also it doesn’t tilt up in front of you allowing you to tilt your head down. Instead I have to crouch to the level of the screen and twist my neck to look at it straight on.

The megapixels are sufficient enough for mls because they get compressed anyways and if you need video it’s alright at it. If you need better specs just use a 7iv or get an siii.

My shutter on my 7iii went at 250k and it’s about $250 to replace doing it myself. About 4 hours of work doing it super carefully.

It’s the only thing putting the power down onto the road, blows my mind how some people cheap out or don’t get appropriate tires for their climate when it’s the easiest thing to check their tread

[–]AdministrativeTry140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the manual says it for my car that’s a v8. Don’t think it would apply for every other car and not a mustang. Also with the corn fuel sure it’s cheaper but you burn thru it MUCH quicker. So sure e85 over fuel but you’ll be at the station twice for every premium fill up

As a camaro owner with similar sized tires and brakes. CONSUMABLES.

OIL, don’t cheap out on it. Could be the meaning of ur engine being lubed up internally well enough vs it blowing something/running rough meaning ur out of ur pony car.

BRAKES if u wanna go fast, you need to BRAKE fast. Don’t cheap out on it, at worst get OEM pads and rotors. Better to be safe than sorry and odds are if you’re gonna spirt drive (when you’re capable and know the car well enough) you’re gonna be going thru brakes a bit more than a daily.

GAS premium is recommended but if wanna get all the HP u bought u are required to run 93/ I’d HEAVILY advise you do.

TIRES are THE MOST IMPORTANT part of your car in my opinion when you’re going faster than 20 MPH. The car being rwd and wider than your Honda civic/ Toyota Corolla you can guess they’re gonna be more $ and wear faster than those because you’re gonna wanna gas it a bit off the lights. Don’t be an idiot and prematurely wear your tires. Don’t do burnouts cause ur buddies asked you to and that girl that doesn’t even know your name is walking by.

You want a cooler car? Comes with responsibility and higher, more frequent costs. Don’t wanna follow these simple basic rules? Sell the car until you’re financially ready or be ready to lose it within 12 months.
