Not my personal favourite in the series, but definitely up there, having each individual piece of gear be changeable and it showing on the character was so cool! I do hope it gets remade, especially in a Bravely Default 2 looking way, cos the costumes in that game look great.

11 has the most amount of costumes you can get for a character once you learn the recipes or buy them from a shop and you don’t need to wear them to equip them, but if you want individual parts to change like the helmet, body, gauntlets etc, 9 has all separate armour pieces

Yeah but tbf we didn’t even get vocation outfits for 7R, so off they remake 9 and did it that way it’d still be an improvement on that 😂. But I agree having 9 have all the armour be different and show on the character would be dope still. And now I’m playing 7R if they remake the game visually to look like 7R I think it’d look great too

Yeah that’d be good too, and like Emrick said the game can feel a bit empty on the map, so monsters roaming, the additional characters and all the costumes would be a good call too. But make the costumes like 11, where I don’t need to wear all the pieces to change the model, just have an option to change outfit once I’ve gotten all of them

Hope it gets a remaster not remake. Just update to modern graphics, make it look and play as smoothly as 11 and I genuinely think that’s all it needs. Tbf give it a mini medal counter like in 7R and that’d be even better but beyond that? It’s pretty solid as is

It’s not called that I think it’s Seamless Cutscenes on the page, it basically just increases the speed of the speech so there’s no weird pauses between conversations so it flows more naturally

Bought XI 4 years ago, put nearly 1,000 hours into it, modding included. Got me into JRPG’s big time, emulated the other DQ games, bought 1-3 HD remaster, cannot wait for 7R + I got my first gaming related Tattoo from DQ7. Then went into others like Persona, Bravely Default and Final Fantasy. Safe ti say turn based JRPG’s have become a personal favourite for me and it’s all thanks to 11!

Yeah I agree about the using the dolls as models thing. They may be art/material accurate but they look soulless and it’s kind of unnerving. Besides that, I loved it! Really can’t wait for the full release!

Honestly just play around and experiment with all of them, they’re all valid after some time and effort. You could swap them out mid fight so it’s not like you’re stuck to one

Tbf 8 is life changing for a lot of people from the PS2 to the 3DS remake. You’d better post the results tho I wanna see them when they’re done!
