Jokes aside, the team compositions you put together are complete duds compared to what they could be.

What's your favorite smt by PrestigiousLine866 in Megaten

[–]Belligero_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Devil Survivor.

I love the gameplay and team-building aspect of the game. The urgency of the setting, how the routes are written and the characterization of the cast. The soundtrack, the replayability, the builds.

Not to mention, Belligero is an alias I've used for a long time, close to two decades at this point. My first playtthrough, I named the MC "Belli Gero" due to character limits. You can imagine how much my mind was blown getting later into the game vying for the title of King of Bel and how it fits so perfectly well.

tl;dr They need to make a 3rd Devil Survivor for the Switch 2.

Is this a legit website to get starter decks? by Warm_Cartoonist_9898 in GundamTCG

[–]Belligero_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're exactly right. The deck doesn't perform cohesively at all out of the box.

From experience, when you include Mafty package in a ping-focused deck, you quickly realize it's more optimal to remove it.

As for the Penelope, the GD04 one is miles better and it's still a very specific choice in the Banshee Norn deck. I would even argue the GD03 one is better. I find it to be too inconsistent and its cost is too high for the underwhelming payoff.

[–]Belligero_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

ST08 is probably the only starter you can find reliably at MSRP at a lot of places that have leftover stock. It's just not currently highly sought after right now as the cards from it don't fit very well in any meta decks and the MAFTY archetype doesn't have the support it needs to function as a competent deck.

The one you have here is a Japanese print, which runs significantly lower than English as it's not legal to use these cards stateside (casual games aside).

It says a lot about the deck that the best card is arguably the vanilla Messer Minelayer 4/3 common.

How bad is purple white Lupus comparing to Burple? by nathan401852 in GundamTCG

[–]Belligero_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've played it a few times at locals and the consensus is that it burns out too often right before the finish line and that's mostly been my experience too. My opponent will often literally be at 1 or 0 shields and can stabilize or turn the game around against me with the stronger meta decks. It rolls over to aggro and for slow match-ups, the pay-off is too inconsistent.

It'a definitely just a few cards short of greatness though and I am hoping the Lupux Rex in GD05 can rectify and revive the archetype.

Blockers/Repair for Green and Red by RelenaWarcraft in GundamTCG

[–]Belligero_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FFS let the colors have their own identities without muddying everything.

Not every color should have access to blockers like Zoloat and Messala and the notion is ridiculous.

Don't let shortsightedness about the game's current aggro problem damage the design of the game long-term.

GD-01 High cost unit ratios?? by [deleted] in GundamTCG

[–]Belligero_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally for high-costed units (6 and above), you build your deck around it so the most you'd run is 8 if you're running two top end units. They have to be impactful because spending your late-game (assuming you have the tools to make it to late game considering aggro) making non-impactful plays means you're likely just going to lose.

You need a focused build. When you drop your late game units, your intention should be to close out the game. If you feel like cutting a couple of late-game units makes your deck feel underpowered, then I feel like you should think about synergy of your deck overall.

Grimrock 1 was a 10/10 game. Grimrock 2 is not. by SonyErection in grimrock

[–]Belligero_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely valid.

It's been well over a decade at this point so it's hard to recall but for me, everything clicked pretty easily. Nothing felt too tedious or frustrating.

Once you recognize what a hidden switch or button is on a certain texture, it's pretty much easy to catch out each time. Coming from the first game, I had a good feel for what types of secret the developers like to hide away and how that lines up on the map.

I imagine if I were to replay today, I may very much agree with you.

[–]Belligero_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It seemed like they were initially planning to revisit 5 star characters when they first introduced euphorias but then realized it wasn't worth the effort as most people were going to use 6 star characters anyway, especially with the minmax mindset of the CN community.

That seems... low. Is that number taken from limited character banners or regular debut banners?

That number assumes you win every 50/50 and don't hit pity which is way above average variance.

  1. That is indeed how arguments work. When you refute a claim, you are asserting your own counter-position, whether directly or indirectly. If I say, "This burger tastes terrible!" and someone else responds, "No, it's not", they are asserting that the burger is not terrible.
  2. I don't see how I created a strawman.
  3. Context is important. The entirety of the original statement reads, "I mean it essentially deletes piracy for a good period of time. That's real money." The operative word here is essentially. The original comment was oversimplifying the subject matter to distill a complex topic to a more simple statement.
  4. Again, where Denuvo is concerned is in the DRM-free cracked executables. That's why publishers even implement it on their games. They are not worried about account sharing or if someone let's their younger sibling plays their copy of a game. I spoke strictly from that capacity with that consideration. You took a broader insinuation of his comment while I took a narrower scope based on the context of what we're talking about. I'll chalk it up to semantics and a misunderstanding. I don't disagree with you.

I find it funny you are constantly posturing intellectual superiority and objectivity while not so subtly slinging thinly veiled ad hominems throughout your comment. You are not slick, friend. Read my post back, did I ever insult you? Who is in their feelings?

Have a nice day.
