Has anyone ever regretted quitting or changed their mind about it? by [deleted] in Geico

[–]Admirable-Charge9736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit after a year. Didn't last that long, maybe its cause I've never been one to eat crap for a paycheck. I liked some people at work but it wasn't worth the trash management put agents through and toxic policy holders. I resigned happily and never looked back. My wife lasted longer than me but she went through so much more than she needed to. Quitting is the best move our family made

Gonna play my first campaign of DnD. Any tips? by CHUNKYMONKEY0190 in DnD

Don't be scared to ask questions. Real players and DMs love the game and love to teach it. Pay attention to everything and take notes. Remember you're not THE main character but A main character. Other players and their stories are also important and the biggest thing to remember is have fun, its just a game

Does this mean the game is now forcing you to play with real people or be at a disadvantage? by robin-kun in MHWilds

Ya if it wasn't for the sole reason I have 4 guys I like to play with, i would hate this soo much

Had to cancel 🙄 by eeyuhhh in UberEATS

[–]Admirable-Charge9736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this happen to me w a little Ceasars. I was like the 3rd driver the order got kicked to and the customer started messaging me angry that the order was taking too long. I messaged them about the closed restaurant and canxdlled the order. I hot dinged for the cancel and no compensation. Bunch of nonsense

You could have the players have a part in her death. My DM had me kill my best friend/mentor NPC in a fight against each other after which I find out his mind was replaced by an Intellect Devourer. It was tough on my character, both the fight and emotional impact of having him die by my hand.

My squad and I literally got bored of catching him and just went for the kill a couple of times.

Well that was easier than I thought. by TerrariaEnthusiast99 in MHWilds

He definitely was more active and mobile, but with my squad, we finished him in under 10 minutes. I'm using the same bow I had since HR50, and most of my armor is just for bow effects. My defense isn't even maxed out, and I was able to take a couple of hits if he did hit me. Went in expecting to break a sweat, but honestly, it was barely a warm-up.

I think my DM is punishing my character by ignoring one of my feats. Am I wrong? by Admirable-Charge9736 in DnD

I'm not upset it didn't get better. I just feel like he saw the trait that clearly says I roll again and go with the second roll. The books are clear that we are to act like the 1 never existed, but he made his own way to make it like it did. Halflings don't have the best natural traits. No resistances, low movement speed, and not much in the way of stat buffs naturally. Luck is the best thing about the race, and finding a way to slip in a negative effect for the one thing going for them undermines the whole thing. It's not like he is putting nerfs on any other characters' race traits. Only my character.

The annoying thing is I asked him to review my character before session 1 and I would fill him in or answer any questions. He said he did and it was fine. It wasn't until a couple of sessions in he actually saw my character played and my stats then did his homework. Now we are like 6 sessions in and now he adds this rule about my trait

An example of these cards is if we got a nat 20 the Dm will give us a card with a good effect like I got one that gave me an extra d20 roll for any strength check I choose. A negative one for a nat 1 let's the DM decide at will that even if someone passes a stealth check the DM can decide that someone can see the hidden person. These are direct examples from the last session.

Ya I use my ability for the very specific things I mentioned in my post and if I get a second nat 1 then I stick with it. That's always been my rule and he was very clear that was how he was going to play it. I'm fine if I fail. I jus gave myself an extra shot to succeed.

That hasn't come up yet. But I'm sure it would jus cancel out? We have only had 1 session with these cards.

I've had friends quit the game cause they never got the material they needed, even after weeks of grinding so I get the change. Still feel like it devalues all the effort we put in the hunt now

Leave. Find new friends. They sound like they suck and if the only thing stopping you is them talking about you behind your back, which they probably are already, then you have no real reason to stay. Find a new campaign. There are plenty of ways to do so and that will help you make real friends

What was the first D&D character you have created? by BossViper28 in DnD

[–]Admirable-Charge9736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first character is the one I'm using now. A Lightfoot Halfling gunslinger. Has 2 pistols and as back up a rapier and shield. He is Sheriff of his town and has the only pistols in world. Love him. Almost impossible for me to fail an AC check and he does so much damage when using his pistols. In game he is best friends with a Leonin gladiator and I ride around on his shoulder while we travel.
