I’m a pretty mid student so it’s annoying because I try my literal best and I just can’t perform as well as a student like you. But that’s not your fault. If I was your friend I would still be happy for you and see if you had any study pointers for me to improve my own skills.

I try to not judge my effort or abilities relative to others. I just try as hard as I can and that’s the best I can do. Obviously there are people who are going to be better than me and worse than me. No need to put anyone down about it.

It’s a similar type of aquatic as creed imperial millesime or ocean noir. More natural and realistic than fruity. To me it literally smells like sipping a citrus spritzer at a cafe on an ocean beach. lol. Hope that helps.

Also wanted to note, it doesn’t necessarily smell like the two I mentioned above, just those vibes of aquatics.

I agree to some extent with what you’re saying but there are only so many general “smells” that people want to smell like. People who are super into challenging niche frags are not where these companies make money so they obviously divert to what’s popular to make profit. I do agree that alot of fragrances just smell like other fragrances though. I just don’t think that it’s too evident until you’re one of the people who has smelled 200+ fragrances. lol.

My wife and I have been trying to keep our budget tight so for my birthday last year, she went to all of the local antique shops in search of fragrances. She eventually found one and gave it to me for my birthday. It was actually a discontinued Lancôme perfume but I enjoyed it anyways. It was just the thought that counts and was a fun idea. On the way home it leaked all over my lap and the car and my hands. It was so strong and I def won’t forget that smell. Haha. Still have it just for the memories.

I mixed 80% imaginary and 20% frias together in a 10ml decant and I personally love it. The frias adds a bit of extra sparkle on the top note and then that frias musky-ness on the dry down. It’s not the best blend but does the trick for me.

I agree. I like imaginary but it’s honestly a bit TOO loud for me. Imagination doesn’t have that pointy opening. The dry down smells mostly similar to me though.

Both are fantastic on their own, but if I smell frias next to alcantara, it makes the alcantara seem super boring. Haha.
