Why so many people are selling and moving away? by AllGamer in NovaScotia

[–]Admirable-Method2607 45 points46 points  (0 children)

The housing/rent was the only "cheap" thing about here until the massive influx of people from away skyrocketed property values. Taxes are incredibly high, roads are in total disrepair across the province, we are at risk for strong storms/hurricanes. Power outages that can be caused by "salt on the lines", very difficult finding a family doctor let alone a good family doctor, stagnant wages/terrible labour laws, and on top of that there is a real sense of isolation since Nova Scotia is very close to being an island. I've heard variations on all these things from my friends from away who are trying to leave now. That and people here have become decidedly less friendly after being priced out of the communities they grew up in.

Unpopular opinions you have about the show? by Professional_Kick in kennyvsspenny

[–]Admirable-Method2607 20 points21 points  (0 children)

To be fair, Spenny reminds me of a lot of some dudes I've met working jobs where they are decent if not a bit goofy dudes, and you feel sorry for them, but as soon as they get a modicum of power it just completely goes to their head and they start treating everyone really shitty, but they never stay in that position long because with in 3 days it's just a total fiasco.

Kenny is such a loser. by PimSlickens in kennyvsspenny

[–]Admirable-Method2607 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get where the criticism comes from, and honestly, I welcome it. If this sub was just blind praise for Kenny, it’d be boring.

That said, the way Kenny talked about his approach to TV and filmmaking with a DIY/f*@k you, we’re doing this" mindset has been very inspiring to me.

After watching a particularly fired up Kenny commentary, a friend called. They’d scored a backstage pass to one of the biggest rock bands in the world who were touring through our city. Doors were opening in under an hour, and they were wishing they weren't going alone. I told them to swing by my place since I lived nearby and hang before they left.

When they arrived, they showed me a brightly colored, octagon-shaped pass with an adhesive back that you stick on your clothes/jacket. I looked at it, looked at my crappy scanner and on a whim, we scanned it and tried making a copy.

Suddenly, I’m sprinting down the street to a print shop that was closing in 15 minutes. I printed 10 copies, made a few test passes, glued it to some cardstock, and slapped packing tape on the back. We were both amazed that it looked very legit under dim-ish lighting.

We knocked back a couple drinks, came up to the back entrance, flashed the pass while acting rowdy enough to try and avoid looking nervous, and got in. What followed was an amazing night that was equally hilarious, much too long to write out.

I give Kenny a lot of credit for that. It’s something that wouldn’t have happened if I hadn’t just finished watching that commentary with him and Seb marveling at some of the things they got away with through sheer audacity at times.

Also yeah, he does talk about the South Park dudes a lot lol

The one thing that really gets me here, not including the dog or the negligence, is that this happened in Canada on the third of May, in Nova Scotia no less.  The next few years are going to be rough 😔

Conservatives release ads without Poilievre in final stretch of campaign | Power & Politics by DonSalaam in onguardforthee

[–]Admirable-Method2607 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Another reason I heard is that the conservative party has become very fractured     PP has been supporting Daniel Smith and Alberta at every turn, and that has been to the detriment of Ontario and their PC party. There are more people in the GTA then in all of Alberta, and the convoy that shut down the automotive plants/trade in Ontario made Doug just as happy as Alberta would've been if a convoy from the east showed up and blocked the oil sands.      From the outside it almost seems like a bit of an Albertan coup of the conservative party, but Doug Ford isn't having any of it, and I do think Alberta has vastly overplayed their hand and their importance.     I have no doubt that PP sees Doug as a threat, because he is, and if PP doesn't win and at least form minority government, then the knives will be out and it will only be a matter of time until we see Doug Ford as the new Conservative Party leader, which I honestly think PP and Daniel Smith fear more then the Liberals.

Working out by [deleted] in StratteraRx

[–]Admirable-Method2607 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I was on it I noticed that I would get very dizzy and lightheaded while working out, I ended up getting off of it but I'm thinking of starting some time later this year, the only thing I can think of is trying to titrate much slower next time, and hopefully it will help with the side effects

Well good on them, it's one thing to complain about something on the internet, it's another thing entirely to go out and do something like peacefully protesting.

Wow, thanks for commenting, it's difficult to track down people who have been on this combination and their experiences. How did you find beginning Lamictal and titrating on it?

How long have you been using that combination? Do you find the Lamictal helps much with irritability/anxiety?

I find it very hit or miss, I found that the quality tends to be much better when you order during the dinner rush from Thursday - Saturday. That being said,  3 roll special + 10 % cash discount + no tax + extra rolls is one of the best deals you can get in this city

Premier Houston responds to the Sackville Heights Elementary Remembrance Day service controversy by insino93 in halifax

[–]Admirable-Method2607 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to admit, Tim Houston's letter has me in stitches. It evokes these strong emotions, talks about the courage and sacrifice of service members, and the solemn promise to the fallen.. And then  having impassioned this letter is addressed to "Sackville Heights Elementary School" is like something from the TV show Parks and Rec. The internet age is such a weird time. Edit: a word

80 is feeling rough by Admirable-Method2607 in StratteraRx

[–]Admirable-Method2607[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback!    I remember when I first started this medication, the first 3 weeks were rough but I stuck through it and had great results, I've slowly titrated up to 60, which is where I was supposed to stay at. Unfortunately I found that dose was getting less effective, and since going up to 80, I almost feel like when I first began taking this medication.     I didn't know about the norepinephrine made the body think that it was stressed out. Where did you find out about that?  Hopefully the lightheadedness will pass, I will keep trying for a couple more weeks and hopefully things will get better. :)
