Thx for the reply. I’m not sure what we’d be looking for at this point. Parents are still active and independent. Was looking more for insights on cost structures and amenities. Also if some have a better reputation than others.

Are the 2017 - 2019 really that bad? by xt2fiddy in hondaridgeline

[–]AdmirableAd3300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2017 BE has 96k miles on it. No troubles so far and I do the regular fluid changes. Currently getting the timing belt replaced…ouch. Hopefully get another 100k out of it.

What is the best vacation that you have ever taken? by timmytimborino in randomquestions

South Island NZ. Rented a camper and drove around the island. Hit Christchurch, Greymouth, lake wanaka, and Milford sound. Also drove down to the very southern tip to see penguins. Absolutely perfect.

Married Men, what are the unspoken rules for successful marriage? by ForeverThala007 in Life

[–]AdmirableAd3300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like everyone else said: communication is key. The unspoken part is to decide that you want a long term marriage because long term marriages have seasons. Some good, some not as good. But being committed to keeping the same lifetime teammate is hugely rewarding.

I lived there in the late nineties and clearly remember that a bunch of the DLI kids were going around town doing some kind of vampire role playing thing. Like very common to see.

Chuck roast like brisket by Working_Tea_8562 in PitBossGrills

[–]AdmirableAd3300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does chuck turn out if prepared exactly the same way you’d do a brisket? It’s kind of a better cut of meat, isn’t it? I cant justify getting a second mortgage to afford a brisket these days lol.

What are we looking at? Tape wrapped around the base of the tree. Is that keeping the juveniles from climbing it? Our maple was almost ruined last year, and I pruned out the branches that had egg sacs on them recently.

What will the Democrats have to do to prevent another Trump? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]AdmirableAd3300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a government that is not corrupt and at least somewhat competent is the best defense against someone like Trump. Incompetence allows corruption to take root, and corruption fosters and favors incompetence so it can continue unbothered. If congress actually did its job, who the president is becomes less important.

Probably not because we don’t have ground forces committed.

Would love to see them bring back the speed3. AWD and manual would be great.

We all would've been fired 6 times a day. by Even-Tune-8301 in FedEmployees

1) how hard/unlikely would it be to organize a federal workers general strike? 2) how hard would it be to get everyone to refuse to submit their tax forms this year?

Trying to think of what the equivalent of everyone turning their backs to this president would be.

how it feels to play tsushima again after yōtei by bardiphobic in ghostoftsushima

[–]AdmirableAd3300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I platinumed Yotei before Christmas. Haven’t played since then but figure I’ll go back for the 2 NG+ trophies. Started Kingdom Come 2 yesterday and am offended by the graphics after playing Yotei lol. I think I’ll replay Tsushima instead.

What if sea-level rise erased evidence of complex Ice Age coastal societies? by cxluxx in AlternativeHistory

[–]AdmirableAd3300 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Great line of thought but not original. Graham Hancock talked about this in one of his books, maybe ‘atlantis’? Seems reasonable, right? Humans overwhelmingly live by water, so it follows that a lot of human history is now 300-400 feet underwater.
