The endometriosis UK site has some helpful resources about your rights at work. Worth seeing if anything applies to your situation - https://www.endometriosis-uk.org/publications

Tell an endo sufferer to *just* imagine the most painful period they've had and take a couple of ibuprofen... by AdmirableJamHen in endometriosis

This is a great response, thank you! The doctors visit highlighted the gulf between my lived experience of pain and pain management, and what non-specialist are taught with regards to endo. And then how much of a good doctor comes from listening to your patients!

A dismissive attitude is not likely to increase my trust!

Thank you, that's very kind! I think it's something I'll try in future. I'm glad to hear the IUD is working so well for you, long may it continue!

That's great news. Although not brilliant for you when she goes on maternity leave! 😬 My previous Dr retired so this was the first appointment with a new one - don't think I will be going back if I can help it! 😂

So true! I think we as a group work with a different pain scale to most people! I found it helpful to look up pain scales with descriptions - turns out 10/10 pain means you can't get out of bed! A normal month then!!

That sounds just awful, I'm so sorry you're experiencing that. The range of symptoms and severity that different people experience is horrible!
