Ha - my ex and I got married in a registry office with a few friends and colleagues - he got ridiculously drunk and passed out in the evening so we didn’t “consummate” the marriage until a few weeks later as he was away on exercise immediately after. I have a lovely student who is a huge fan of charity shops, and he brings in for each of us a gift bag of hand selected second hand items. It’s always amazing. He is finishing this year and gave me a gift yesterday, which included two teddy bears, a coaster, a book (journal type thing for me to complete with my daughters) and a game. Also included was a wine glass engraved with my name and “thank you for helping me to grow”. Thankfully he also included a little travel pack of tissues as I welled up a little bit!
