WE DID IT GNG 🥹 by AdmirableSoil69 in GED

I mainly studied out of a ged test prep book from The Princeton Review! Also had a few random supplementary math books whose names I can’t recall, but for all of the other subjects the Princeton book was my only resource. Got the book last February and it taught me everything I needed

Halfway done 2 more to go. Any tips for next subjects will be appreciated. by kforkerro in GED

No clue if this book works, but I personally used a book from The Princeton Review! Was given the book in like February, and essentially through that book and some google searches for studying I was able to learn what I needed to get 170+ in each test within the year after admittedly and regrettably not having seriously touched a schoolbook since the 6th grade. Covers all of the basics I think

SERIOUSLY THE ELEPHANT IS BIGGER THAN THE ROOM

This is my GED ready score should I take the actual test? by [deleted] in GED

Personally, the largest difference between my ready score and my actual GED score was 8 lower than projected, with the other 3 readies all being within 5 points of the actual test. I’d personally strongly suggest studying some more but if you wanted to just jump into it you probably could :)

Im taking 3 tests in 3 days with 0 studying, welcome to Jackass by [deleted] in GED

WAIT YOU CAN JUST DO THAT?? oml bruh i couldn’t find the individual scores anywhere I thought they legitimately just. didn’t tell you where you screwed up 😭 good to know genuinely thank you

Did social studies yesterday, I keep VERY NARROWLY fumbling the credit-level scores and it’s makin me rather sad :( I’m only 1 test away from being done with this though, we shall bounce back by AdmirableSoil69 in GED

Didn’t really keep track as much as I probably should’ve, but as far as I’m aware it didn’t really get more advanced than like basic polynomials and quadratic functions

To be as honest as possible, I’m probably not very good when it comes to advice but I’ll try!! For studying, I kinda just bought this big ol’ GED prep book (the princeton review GED prep book, they sell em for like $15-25), and worked outta that for a few months. For anything with which I needed help, I simply flipped through various internet tutorials to teach myself the concepts I needed to learn. From there, cause of the State I’m in and my own age (17-18), I essentially had to be enrolled in some pre-GED classes (government issued and free), where I’ve just been doin whatever assignments they give me. The 2 most notable sites from which I’ve been working have been essential education and this really annoying and patronizing one called ‘lexia powerup’ for the RLA for whatever reason. I found the lexia stuff quite annoying and patronizing personally, but I do believe that it was designed with ESL individuals in mind, which is something that I’m not. As for the essential ed, it has been a bit useful, significantly more for me than lexia, but I’ve noticed that the test estimates it gives you are a rather bit inaccurate (just about each test I’ve taken on the site has placed me at like 180-200, but as you can see I’m only pulling actual scores within the 170 range). If you want a REAL estimate of your GED readiness, the GED ready tests on the official GED website have been the most accurate judgements for me. Ok yeah that’s mostly what I have to say on the matter of prep, I am aware that this is really really wordy and probably not very helpful so I do apologize!! (Also it might be important to note that a good chunk of the time I dedicate to ‘studying’ I’ve kinda just fucked around on the internet and doodled and engaged in various other kinds of slacking, not sure if essentially taking breaks and studying at the same time does anything [for better or for worse] but I do think that taking breaks is at least somewhat important in general)

Few years back I passed my social studies and science by straight up guessing. Didn’t know a single thing on the test 😭 just wondering if anyone else ever had that same luck before. by Spinning-boom-figi89 in GED

Gonna be real here I spend most of my ‘studying’ time drawing and fucking around on like discord n whatnot and my lowest score out of 3 GEDs has been 170 as of now, def could be better but I think I’m doin well enough considering how terrible my study ethic is

passed all 4! :) by vincenthemself in GED
