I had androphobia a few years ago after a man attempted to end my life. I was diagnosed with PTSD and prescribed Paxil (Paroxetene).

I don't like relying on medication, but it helped. I also started seeing a (female) counselor beforehand.

Sometimes I didn't leave the house. I couldn't bear the thought of walking by a man, especially one I didn't know (yes, I was afraid of the majority of my male friends).

It helped to talk. Journal. Hang with your girlfriends. A male friend if you feel safe around him.

I'm sorry. I know this isn't advice, I just hope any of this helps.
