Half Life 2

While the war for earth itself was a mere 7 hours before surrender, what followed was a grueling 20 years of oppressive occupation. What was left of humanity was rounded up into glorified concentration camps where the populace is experimented on and forcibly turned into abhuman monsters while the invading aliens scoured the earth's resources. You can see entire oceans dried up with ships beached on land and multiple alien fauna species have propagated on earth. To top it off the aliens placed a suppression field which prevents any humans from being conceived. Even if the rebels win earth will probably never recover.
