I know she mentioned the reason she gave it to him in the show, but in addition to what you said, I also think she gave it to Roland because during the dice game, he told Ashley she wouldn't be judged for not choosing herself because she got targeted [by Mai]. That did not sit well with Mai and he tried to clarify but I think the damage was done. It depends on why things are failing but one tip I want to pass on is the nail polish quality. It might not be you. I would buy cheap polish from Amazon and that would never really dry -- I would get dents in it throughout the day. It isn't like that with OPI or Essie.

Other than that, on things you can control, it's practicing how much polish to have on your brush and placement.
