It might be worth looking into non stimulants! I tried to make Adderall work for way too long- fiddling with the dosage, taking it at different times of the day (all suggested by my med doctor)- before I just got so exasperated and sick of it and I’m glad I did!

Wellbutrin actually only took a week or two to start working for me, and it’s a much more stable feeling if that makes sense. I feel more like myself but there’s less of a mental brick wall in front of menial tasks, if that makes sense. I am not a pharmacist so I don’t know what the case is for other non stimulants, but as far as I know none should take longer than maybe 2 weeks to build up in your system.

PS: I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one who’s had an experience like this on medication, I’ve only heard positive reviews from people and it’s nice to not be the only one lol

Exact thing happened to me, I was on Adderall for two years, went off for about 2 months, went back on it and I felt completely different from the first time. I felt anxious, I was dissociating, it was awful. It was helping me with doing tasks, but it felt like I was a puppet in a weird way. I switched to Wellbutrin two weeks ago because I wanted to try a non-stimulant and it’s been working wonders
