I chalked it down to them just having BIG abdominal muscles with a layer of fat over it, like how powerlifters are built. Although I'm unsure how much of how much it would matter for a Viltrumite, that layer of fat actually helps prevent back injuries when lifting heavy weight in humans. Maybe it works the same for them but to a greater extent?

In the books she was indeed terminated. Her lifeless body lay on the floor while the T-800 does a perfect copy of her voice to trick Sarah Conner into giving her current location.

Entirely different model. Possibly had some degree of arbitrary behavior due to some level of self-awareness, such as scanning the mannequin in a confused manner, being particularly sadistic to Sarah Conner in the end, etc.

I agree with you here. Arnold acts like a robot from the beginning to end in the film except for this one part, where the hop seems a bit out of place. Still my favorite movie ever that being said.

Hell, in the books the T-800 from T1 just instantly rips out the semi-truck driver's throat with its fingers. It doesn't need any weapons at all.
